Inside Meghan Markle’s Secret Message to Kate Middleton in Her New Year’s Post
Prince Harry’s relationship with Prince William is still a bit shaky, and many royal experts believe that Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton are the only ones who can make things right. Although the couples spent the holiday season thousands of miles apart, Meghan may have sent a secret message to Kate in the form of an Instagram post. Here’s a look at Meghan Markle’s apparent olive branch to Kate and how they can turn things around in 2020.
Prince Harry and Prince William’s epic feud
Harry and William’s relationship has been hounded by feud rumors all year long. It is unclear where the brothers grew apart, but it may have started when William reportedly told Harry to take things slow with Meghan.
William has yet to say anything about the rift. Harry, however, seemingly confirmed their feud during an interview for a documentary titled Harry & Meghan: An African Journey.
Harry revealed that his relationship with William is not the same as it used to be and that they do not talk on a regular basis. He also explained how they are on different paths at the moment, which some took as confirmation that their feud might be worse than previously thought.
To add to the rumors, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left William and Kate’s organization, The Royal Foundation, in 2019. They started their own charitable endeavor, Sussex Royal, last summer.
They also moved out of Kensington Palace, where William and Kate call home. The couple now lives in Frogmore Cottage in Windsor with their first son, Archie Harrison.
Are Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle feuding too?
Although things are not good between Harry and William, Kate and Meghan seem to be getting on just fine. In fact, the women enjoyed some tennis matches at Wimbledon in 2019 and looked like they had a fun time together.
According to Express, many royal experts believe that Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton are the key to getting Harry and William back together. The only problem is that they have not had very many opportunities to work their magic.
Over the holidays, Harry and Meghan flew to Canada to spend Christmas with her mother, Doria Ragland. William and Kate, meanwhile, went to Sandringham to celebrate Christmas with Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the royal family.
Both the Sussexes and Cambridges are still on their holiday breaks, but Meghan may have taken the first step at reconciliation in a recent Instagram post.
Meghan Markle sends Kate Middleton a secret message
Taking to Instagram, Meghan shared some photos as part of her highlights of 2019. Among the pictures was a sweet shot of her and Kate standing together at an event.
The photo was taken during Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle’s appearance at Wimbledon and features them both smiling big for the cameras.
With Meghan including the image in her highlight reel, many royal watchers felt like it was a secret message to Kate. Not only does it show that Meghan and Kate are on good terms, but it also gives fans hope that they can bridge the gap between Harry and William.
Meghan Markle also shared an adorable photo of her son, Archie, during his christening. The image offered a rare glimpse of Archie in action, and further proves how much Meghan appreciates Kate.
The Royals and their Instagram numbers
Speaking of Instagram, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have both been very active on the platform in recent years, ushering in a new era of publicity for the royal family.
Although they are both insanely popular in the media, fans might be surprised to learn that Kate actually has more Instagram followers than Meghan.
Going into the new year, Meghan and Harry have around 10 million followers and have posted 173 times over the past two years.
Kate and William, on the other hand, have over 10.6 million followers with over 1,900 posts. The Cambridges, of course, have been on Instagram much longer than Harry and Meghan, who are catching up quickly.
If things continue at their current pace, there is a strong chance that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will surpass Prince William and Kate Middleton in followers in 2020.
