Inside Teddi Mellencamp’s New $6.5 Million Modern Farmhouse
Since joining the cast in 2018, Mellencamp has ruffled feathers over the Puppygate drama with Lisa Vanderpump, for aligning herself with Brandi Glanville, and her squabble with Denise Richards. Some fans even labeled her as “boring” or a “pot-stirrer.”
Though her days RHOBH are officially over, she’s packing up and heading to greener pastures in a new home.
Teddi Mellencamp and husband put Los Angeles house up for sale
In August, the Los Angeles Times reported Mellencamp and her husband Edwin Arroyave put their Hollywood Hills mansion on the market. The five-bedroom home boasts two balconies, an infinity pool, and a gym. Kyle Richards’ husband Mauricio Umansky listed the house for $5.995 million.
Previously, the home belonged to Megan Ellison, daughter of Oracle co-founder, Larry Ellison. She unloaded the Mt. Olympus property from her real estate portfolio in 2018, and the couple snatched it up.
Mellencamp’s provided tours of her Hills home for Bravo and Open House TV and joked about having white Sharpie-prone furniture with three children running around.
This property is listed for just under $6 million, a markup from their $4 million purchase price.
Teddi Mellencamp closes on new farmhouse residence
According to Variety, the former housewife and her hubby finalized the paperwork on their new place at the same time it was announced that Mellencamp’s RHOBH contract didn’t get renewed.
The family is leaving the hills for the valley — Encino to be exact — for a larger farmhouse style house that features a spa, wine room, and basketball court.
Per the listing from The Agency (Umansky’s firm), the house is 8,550 square feet and has seven bedrooms and bathrooms. The private residence is surrounded by ficus trees and according to its description, has two kitchens, a heated pool, waterfall, game room, and outdoor lounge areas with terraces.
The master bedroom also has a fireplace and wrap-around terrace.
According to Variety, Mellencamp’s neighbors include Dorit Kemsley and Kyle Richards.
Rumors and controversy still follow Mellencamp
In the days leading up to the RHOBH news about Mellencamp, many already speculated she’d be the one to get axed. Some fans believe her drama with Denise Richards, Vanderpump, and Kemsley probably contributed to the decision, but her business has also come into question.
All In, Mellencamp’s wellness venture, has been under fire from former clients and critics. According to Today, social media personality Emily Lande exposed the All In program and its coaches. Some clients allegedly contacted Lande and stated All In is a scam its accountability coaches promote eating disorders.
She told the outlet some women were only allowed to consume a cup of soup for a meal and the regimen encourages eating reduced calories. Though Mellencamp’s faced backlash from former clients and some of her ex castmates, she refuted claims about the meal plans.
Mellencamp issued a statement to Today: “Our meal plan has evolved and our focus has always been clean whole foods. There are a variety of nutritional food options on our menu. Nowhere in our suggested meal plan does it mention a specific calorie count.”
Post RHOBH, her future plans include focusing on her children and working on her All In empire.
