Is Aaron Carter Pursuing Legal Action Against Nick Carter?

It’s been a challenging time for the Carter family over the last two months. Aaron Carter and his mother, Jane Carter, just had their premiere episode of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition, during which they’ll be working on repairing their relationship as a family.

However, not all of Aaron Carter’s relatives feel safe pursuing a personal relationship with the star right now. His brother, Nick Carter, actually took out a restraining order against the celebrity after discussing a variety of threats he’s received from his brother. Now, Aaron Carter says he could possibly try to pursue legal action against his brother.

Nick Carter takes out a restraining order

In a shocking turn of events, celebrity Nick Carter felt compelled to take out a restraining order against his brother, Aaron Carter. It seems as if Nick Carter, his wife, and his sister Angela have all been feeling threatened by Aaron Carter for some time.

In a statement on Twitter, Nick Carter wrote, “After careful consideration, my sister Angel and I regret that we were required to seek a restraining order against our brother Aaron today. In light of Aaron’s increasingly alarming behavior and his recent confession that he harbors thoughts and intentions of killing my pregnant wife and unborn child, we were left with no choice but to take away every measure possible to protect ourselves and our family. We love our brother and truly hope he gets the proper treatment he needs before any harm comes to himself or anyone else.”

Aaron Carter denied the claims, suggesting his brother is lying. “I am astounded at the accusations being made against me and I do not wish harm to anyone, especially my family,” said the celebrity.

E! News obtained court documents that further detailed Nick Carter’s claims, however. The documents explain that Aaron Carter “recently admitted to having schizophrenia with multiple other mental disorders.”

Nick Carter also states that in a FaceTime conversation with their sister Angela, Aaron Carter revealed that he “thinks about killing babies and has thought about killing [Nick’s] wife, Lauren.”

Aaron Carter says he’s seeking love

Aaron Carter doesn’t live in a vacuum, of course. The celebrity has made it clear that he’s aware of the media discussion surrounding his mental health, and his relationship with his family.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Carter explained that he’s searching for love and appreciation. He wrote, “I’m well aware many of you have shown concern for me over the past few weeks. Having people who genuinely care for you is something that should never be taken for granted. For as long as I could remember, I’ve chased unconditional love and hoped for true stability in my family. I’ve spent most of my adult life seeking validation from these same people. I started to get a chip on my shoulder when I kept coming up short on something that doesn’t cost a thing. LOVE.”

Carter continued, “All I want is Love. What has transpired recently does not represent my true wants or needs. I’ve been fighting fire with fire, something I still need to work on. Some have pointed and laughed, but many many more have shown genuine support for what I’ve been vulnerable enough to share. For the record: I’m okay. I’m simply choosing to no longer be controlled by fear. I don’t fear my past. I do not fear the truth. I don’t fear anyone but God. I have never had thoughts of causing anyone pain, let alone taking anyone’s life.”

Will Aaron Carter pursue legal action?

Aaron Carter has expressed an interest in seeing things patched up between himself and his brother. However, he also suggested that if things don’t work out, he’ll be taking legal action.

“I hope everything can work out between my brother and I, but if not, it is what it is. We’ll see. If not, I’m going to come out with very, very powerful attorneys,” said Carter.

He also said, “I do love you Nick, I do love you. But I ask for you to respect my privacy, I’m moving 5,000 miles away from you guys. So respect my privacy… that’s all I have to say about that.”
