Is Andy Cohen Expecting a Boy or Girl?
The talk show host surprised fans around the holidays with the news that he is expecting his first child in six weeks. Andy Cohen talked more about his feelings about entering fatherhood and even revealed the sex of the baby. Here is everything you need to know about whether he is expecting a boy or girl.
Andy Cohen is expecting a boy
The Watch What Happens Live host rang in the new year with his friend, Anderson Cooper on CNN’s live New Year’s Eve show. It was there that he talked about expecting his first child and the sex of the baby.
“This is the biggest year for me,” he said on the show. “It’s a boy. It’s a boy,” he continued to tell Cooper. “It’s a boy and I got to tell you something, I cannot wait to meet this boy.”
Cohen also took a guess of what his baby will look like. “I think he’s going to have a nice Semitic head of hair,” he continued. “I really do. I’m so excited and I think about nothing else. I did it with a surrogate.”
Cohen said he never thought he would have a kid before
The host continued to talk about how much it means to him to become a father. “When I was growing up and when we were growing up … I just never thought it would be possible as a gay man to grow up and have a family,” he revealed. “And here we are in 2018, almost , and anything’s possible. And I’m so grateful to a wonderful surrogate that I’m working with.”
Cohen had fun also asking some celebrities on the show for parenting advice like Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. That advice along with “all the gear” he got for the baby probably makes him as ready as he can be for the upcoming birth.
He previously announced he is expecting a baby on O Come OG Faithful
The host gave a touching speech on Watch What Happens Live to announce the news. “Tonight I want to share a little personal news of my own,” he said. “To the viewers at home, I call you my friends at home because we are friends. You have supported me through almost 10 years of live… This has been an incredible joyous journey with you all. I am grateful to be able to live my dream every day and grateful to you for coming along for the ride.”
He continued, “And throughout it, I’ve always tried to be as transparent as possible about my life — I overshare and expect everyone to do the same. Tonight, I want you to be the first to know that after many years of careful deliberation, a fair amount of prayers and the benefit of science — if all goes according to plan in about six weeks time I’m going to become a father.”
