Is Kim Kardashian Encouraging North West to Obsess Over Her Appearance?
Kim Kardashian is known as one of the biggest divas in the reality TV world. And you if you have seen some of the other women that star on reality TV shows, you know that is saying a lot.
Most of the members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan are all obsessed with their looks. They spend thousands (if not millions) of dollars every year to ensure that they have the best clothes, makeup, hair accessories, and anything else that they may need to make sure that they are always looking their very best.
Being that Kim is always in the spotlight, it is totally understandable that she would want to go to great lengths to ensure that she is always looking her best.
However, some fans are worried that Kim’s oldest daughter, North is starting to pick up on some of her mom’s bad habits and is also obsessing over the way she looks.
So, is Kim really encouraging her daughter to obsess over her appearance? Here is what we know.
Kim Kardashian is obsessed with being famous
Since Kardashian was just a child, she knew that she wanted to be famous when she grew up. On her show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, her siblings have voiced their opinions about how hard fame can be sometimes.
However, no matter how hard it can get sometimes, to Kim, it is all worth it. There may be times when she is not happy with the tabloids or the media, but to her, it is just a small price that you have to pay in order to be recognized around the world.
In an interview for Vogue Arabia, Kim had told her husband that she has always wanted to be famous and she used to be really obsessed about it.
“Money was always the goal but I was obsessed with fame, like, embarrassingly obsessed,” Kardashian said. She also added that “Fame can be addictive.”
Because of her obsession with fame and always wanting to be in the spotlight, Kardashian has had a few cosmetic procedures done – including botox and laser skin treatments – to ensure that she is always looking her best.
Kim Kardashian got in trouble for letting North wear makeup
North West is only 6 years old, but she already has a great eye for what looks good when it comes to fashion and makeup. In the past, we have seen several photos of North wearing bright red lipstick and other types of makeup.
While most fans thought that Kardashian’s oldest daughter looked cute in her makeup, North’s dad, Kanye West was not impressed.
According to People, Kardashian had admitted to getting in some trouble with her husband for letting their daughter wear makeup. “I’d let her wear – you now, she has a little red for Christmas – I’d let her wear a red lip, or I’d let her do one pop or something,” Kardashian said. “I’d let her if she’s wearing a black dress, a black lip… So, I kind of got in trouble for that. So, it’s no more makeup.”
Kardashian also added that now that her daughter is no longer allowed to wear makeup until she gets older, she has instead started to take an interest in skincare and loves to get a facial and wear face mask.

Not only is North West obsessed with skincare, but she also is apparently in love with her hair. The 39-year-old reality star has admitted that she allows her daughter to straighten her hair twice a year – once on her birthday, and then again, for her birthday party.
Even though Kardashian takes her daughter to the salon to get her hair done on her birthday, North has reportedly said that she loves her naturally curly hair.
“[North’s] obsessed with curly hair,” Kardashian had told Interview magazine. “And if she finds someone who has the same hair, she runs to them and is like, ‘You have curly hair like me?’ And we get to talk about it.”
So it seems like Kardashian’s oldest daughter may be obsessed over her appearance, but honestly, if we were as cute as her, we would be obsessed with the way we look too.
Also, it seems like she has a very healthy admiration for her own appearance and is able to appreciate her natural beauty.
