Is Kourtney Kardashian Quitting ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ for Good?

It seems as though our days of seeing Kourtney Kardashian on Keeping Up with the Kardashians are limited.

After months of speculation, the reality star has revealed that she plans on taking a step back from her family’s show in order to spend more time with her children.

While many of us are heartbroken over this news, we probably aren’t taking this as hard as Kris Jenner.

Kardashian admits that she isn’t leaving the show for good

After 17 seasons of being a staple on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the eldest Kardashian sibling is finally taking a much-needed break from filming.

During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Poosh founder confirmed that she will be appearing less frequently on her family’s show.

While this is something fans never wanted to hear, Kardashian revealed that doing this will allow her to focus more on her three children and be more of a hands-on mom.

“I just decided to spend more time as a mom and put more of my energy there,” she explained to ET‘s Keltie Knight. “But I’m not saying goodbye.”

Although Kardashian will continue to star in Season 17, she went on to admit that viewers will start seeing her sporadically in the upcoming seasons.

“I think you’ll have to see more of it on the new season, season 18,” the reality star continued. “It isn’t airing yet, but it’s being filmed. Currently, in this room.”

Kardashian’s sisters are certain she won’t be gone for long

While the mother of three seems as though she is adamant about her decision, Kim and Khloé Kardashian are convinced that their sister will be back sooner rather than later.

“We definitely love Kourtney and we will miss Kourtney and whatever she decides to do, but people come, people go all the time in this family,” the Good American founder explained.

“We feel like it’s a revolving door, so Kourtney might leave this week, she’ll be back.” She then added, “They all come back.”

The sisters then went on to brainstorm potential spin-off show ideas that could possibly take place once the Poosh founder leaves.

“Just Kim and Khloe take…” Kardashian West contemplated before her younger sister chimed in, “Take Calabasas! It’s just Kim and I now.”

“Calabasas, it’ll be amazing!” the KKW mogul said. “We can live in the condo with all of our kids and see how that goes.”

This isn’t the first time she’s talked about leaving the show

Although many of us will truly miss seeing Kardashian on KUWTK, we have been expecting her to announce her departure from the show for a while now.

In the past, the Poosh founder has expressed her desire to leave the family business behind and travel around the world all while being a full-time mom.

“If I had enough money, I wouldn’t work. I wouldn’t do the show,” she expressed during an episode of KUWTK back in 2018. “I would be a full time mom. That’s what I want to do. The guilt that I carry every day from not being at home when they get from school, not doing homework — my kids suffer.”

Back in September, Kardashian revealed during an appearance on The Real that she’s considered giving up fame and fortune in order to be a embrace the simple pleasures of life.

“I always think to myself — ‘When is it enough?’ Because I don’t like missing out on certain things like doing my kids’ homework or certain after school activities or different things like that.”

She continued, “Every day is different. At the moment I’m happy and very into my blessings and feeling really good, but I definitely have my moments. Life is short.”

Although Kardashian has officially broken our hearts by announcing her departure from the show, we’re happy that this is just a “see you later” rather than a “goodbye”.
