Is Lizzo Dating Anyone?

Lizzo has it all: Fame, fortune, the ability to twerk and play the flute at the same time. But does she have a romantic partner?

While the “Truth Hurts” rapper is pretty much an open book, fans might not remember whether she’s ever opened up about her love life. So, what’s the deal?

Lizzo’s relationship status

Entertainment Tonight caught up with Lizzo on Aug. 27, just hours after she performed at the MTV Video Music Awards, and asked her about her current relationship status. She told the outlet that she’s single, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have any prospects.

“My DMs are more poppin’ than my p***y, I’ll tell you that much,” Lizzo responded jokingly. “This guy tried to holler at me at the bar last night, and for some odd reason, I just wasn’t feeling it.”

Lizzo, who recently earned her first No. 1 single, went on to explain the difficulties of navigating dating with fame.

“No one tried to holler at me before all this sh*t, so if you’re trying to holler at me now, I don’t trust it,” she explained. “There’s gotta be something real about you, or you gotta be fine as hell, either or. No shade to the guy last night but he didn’t meet that criteria.”

“I definitely understand more and more why famous people be f*cking because it’s such an interesting world,” she continued. “I think it’s hard to understand what it’s like to have a connection with somebody outside of all of this sh*t. Famous people connect with millions of people at a time, and everybody is in love with them, and everybody wants you, and everybody wanna smash, and everybody wanna be your best friend, so it’s really hard to kind of cipher through the bullsh*t and find the real people. But, I mean, even famous people can be bullsh*tters, so I don’t know.

“I might just have to marry myself again. That’s another music video,” she added, referencing her video for “Truth Hurts.”

She tried to date a few celebrities

So, Lizzo has gotten flirty with a number of stars. She once proposed marriage to Chris Evans via Twitter and reached out to Drake online while drunk. She told Busy Philipps in April for E!’s Busy Tonight that while the “Hotline Bling” rapper did not respond to the message, he followed her on social media and said that he loves her music.

Lizzo went on to say that she once downloaded Raya, the dating app for celebrities, where she tried to match with John Mayer.

“It didn’t work,” she said.

Lizzo also said that she became bored with the app and decided to try a few others, where she had lots of fun.

But those aren’t the only celebrities. She also got close with Trevor Noah while appearing on The Daily Show back in April. “I told him I would risk it all,” Lizzo told Philipps. “He’s playing hard to get, but I’m [gonna] get you, Trevor,” she added.

Lizzo is focusing on herself

Lizzo, 31, told Entertainment Tonight that she really just wants to focus on herself and “[spread] good vibes to her massive fan base.”

“But even if I were in a relationship, I’m a single-minded individual, and I really like my freedom,” she added to People magazine in July. “I think there’s a lot of people that need to be in relationships and need to be in love. I want it sometimes, but I don’t need it.”

“But if the right d*** comes along, you better believe I’ll put it on my wall,” Lizzo added, laughing.
