Is Meghan Markle Or Kate Middleton More Similar to Princess Diana?

Princess Diana was an amazing person, and everyone can agree there will never be another person exactly like her. She was not only beautiful, but she had a heart of gold, spreading love to people all over the world. Those who were sick or in need could always depend upon Diana to give them her support and compassion, and she was always there to do just that.

During her marriage to Prince Charles, fans everywhere were delighted at the idea of Diana becoming queen. Ultimately, her marriage to Charles ended in divorce, however, Diana still remained dedicated to her work. She never stopped caring for people, and the feeling was mutual. As we all well remember, Diana tragically died in a car crash over 20 years ago, leaving a void in many people’s hearts that can never be completely filled.

It is truly unfortunate that Diana never got to know the women who married her two sons. She would be delighted with both of their choices, as their wives take royal duties very seriously, and represent the royal family extremely well. In addition to that, they are both dedicated mothers to Diana’s four grandchildren and they are loved by millions of fans. We can all agree that Prince William and Prince Harry have amazing wives who would make Diana proud. Although Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton are both great, fans can’t help but wonder which of the duchesses would be more similar to Diana.

Today The Duchess of Cambridge visited @bletchleyparkuk, the home of British codebreaking — which played a major role in secret intelligence gathering during the Second World War, producing secret information which had a direct and profound influence on the outcome of the war. The Duchess joined joined schoolchildren for an immersive workshop (using a real Enigma Machine used during the Second World War), which saw them take on the role of codebreakers in June 1944, intercepting and deciphering German communications in order to understand their order of battle and decide whether the Operation Fortitude deception plans have been successful. She also met Bletchley Veterans Elizabeth Diacon, Georgina Rose, Audrey Mather and Rena Stewart, who all worked to feed crucial information to Allied forces in the critical months, weeks and days leading up to D-Day during #WW2. The Duchess’s own Grandmother and Great Aunt, Valerie and Mary Glassborow, both worked at Bletchley during the War — and have become the latest additions to Bletchley’s Codebreakers’ Wall of Honour. Bletchley’s new exhibition ‘D-Day: Interception, Intelligence, Invasion’, based on newly declassified material, shows how the intelligence effort coordinated at the site helped specifically in the success of the D-Day landings at Normandy, part of their work to bring together the past and the present, with a nod to the future.

Just like Diana was at one point in her life, Kate is married to the future king. Because of this, she must strictly adhere to royal protocol, following the rules at all times. Just about everything that Kate does is closely watched, and we can honestly say that we’ve never seen her break the rules. Everything Kate wears is absolutely perfect, and she seems to be a natural at living the royal life.

Meghan Markle does things her own way

Meghan may be married to a prince, but chances are, she will never be queen. Because of this, she can get away with bending the rules a little more than Kate can, and that is exactly what Meghan does. We have seen her in dark nail polish, which is a definite dislike of the queen. Meghan has also stepped out in mismatched earrings, dresses worn without the obligatory pantyhose, and deliberately messy hair. Despite the fact that this may go slightly against royal protocol, Meghan always looks spectacular, and her style is one of the most copied in the entire world.

Meghan Markle is a humanitarian

Meghan is known for standing firm for what she believes in. She has been a feminist and an animal rights activist long before she ever met Harry. In fact, when Meghan was young, she even wrote a letter in order to get the wording in a television commercial changed, saying that washing dishes shouldn’t be directed only at women, but at everyone. Her efforts paid off, and the company revised the commercial. What a thing for Meghan to be proud of herself for.

Which duchess is more similar to Diana?

While both duchesses have similarities to their late mother-in-law, we have to say that Meghan is slightly more like Diana than Kate. Meghan is dedicated to charity work and having strong opinions, even if it means straying from the royal rule book. In addition, Meghan is adamant about giving her new son Archie a simple life away from the royal spotlight, which is something that Diana did with her son’s as well. Although Diana would have loved both her daughters-in-law equally, she is more similar to the Duchess of Sussex.
