Arnetta Yardbourgh

1992 was a pretty great year for O’Neal. Not only was he drafted as the number one pick by Magic Johnson for the Orlando Magic, but he also had a beautiful woman on his arm. Arnetta Yardbourgh and the NBA superstar stuck together from 1992 to 1996. During their final year together, the couple brought a baby girl into the world: Taarhirah.

O’Neal’s firstborn still maintains a great relationship with her celebrity dad. The same can’t necessarily be said for O’Neal and Yardbourgh though. They’ve at least maintains a civil relationship for the sake of their daughter.

Shaunie O’Neal

Shaunie O’Neal is probably Shaq’s best-known wife. The pair started dating in 1998, just two years after his split from Yardbourgh. Four years later, on December 26th, they tied the knot. Trouble in paradise caused a separation in 2007, but it didn’t last very long. Despite making up, they were unable to get their relationship back on track and their marriage ended in divorce in 2009.

Inspired by her journey, Shaunie O’Neal created the hit reality show, Basketball Wives. While their relationship may not have lasted, the show born of her situation has! It’s currently in its eighth season. She also has four children to remember her time with the former NBA athlete. Shareef was born on January 9, 2020, and inherited his dad’s basketball prowess and impressive height. Amirah was born on November 13, 2001, Shaquir was born on April 19, 2003, and their youngest Me-arah was born on May 1, 2006.

The two have managed to maintain a pretty good co-parenting relationship. “We’re great now but it took a long time like we definitely did not have the relationship that we have now the first few years,” said Shaunie O’Neal. “I mean, we’re going on eight years of being divorced now and I’d have to say the good first five [or] six were really rough.”

Nicole Alexander

Remember Flavor of Love and I Love Money? O’Neal’s next beau was best known for winning the first season of Flavor of Love and taking home $250,000 after she beat out the competition in 2008. She was also up against Teen Mom’s Farrah Abraham in a charity boxing match just last year! Nicole “Hoopz” Alexander and O’Neal started dated two years after her big payday. Their relationship lasted from 2010 to 2012.

Laticia Rolle

Two years after calling it quits with Alexander, O’Neal moved on to the beautiful model Laticia Rolle. They dated from 2014 to July 2018. After the breakup — it was O’Neal who broke up with the beauty — Rolle fired back by deleting all of his birthday celebrations pics from her Instagram. While she didn’t remove every single picture of O’Neal, the move spoke volumes. She’s also been posting pictures and comments of a higher vibration: ones where she talks about being free and embracing her personal journey in life.

Shaq’s dating history isn’t without drama

Not every relationship in O’Neal’s dating history is “pure.” From 2004 to 2005, he had a pretty innocent fling with Karrine Steffans, the author of the Vixen series. Not a big deal. What was a big deal was his alleged affair with Swedish actress Dominica Westling. In 2012, messages between the two were made public and it became clear that the basketball favorite was cheating on his wife between 2009 and 2010.

Meet Shaquille O’Neal’s new girlfriend

O’Neal’s latest lady love is actress Annie Ilonzeh. She is best known for her role as Emily Foster on Chicago Fire. She’s also starred in 31 other productions including Peppermint, American Horror Story, Til Death Do Us Part, All Eyez on Me, Person of Interest, and Empire. The American actress was spotted on O’Neal’s arm in New York City at the very beginning of the year. The couple has a ten-year age gap between them, but if Hollywood has taught us anything, it’s that age is nothing but a number.
