‘Very Cavallari’: Is Stephen Colletti Considering Making a Guest Appearance on Kristin Cavallari’s Show?
Kristin Cavallari and Stephen Colletti were once reality TV’s most beloved yet most hated couple. Back in 2004, we came to know Cavallari and Colletti on MTV’s Laguna Beach. They may have butted heads and gotten involved in a love triangle with Lauren Conrad, but their relationship was totally real.
Cavallari even wrote in her book, Balancing in Heels: My Journey to Health, Happiness, and Making It All Work, “We loved hard and fought hard. My relationship with Stephen went from our own high school romance to the fodder of a hugely successful television show.”
As it turns out, there could be a chance that we’ll see Cavallari and Colletti on-screen together once more. Cavallari has returned to reality TV with her new E! series, Very Cavallari, starring alongside her husband, Jay Cutler.
While speaking with Us Weekly, Colletti revealed what it would take to get him to guest star on the show. “I was actually just texting with her the other day about something. And she was giving me a hard time. She was like, ‘You’ve got to come on the show,’” Colletti admitted.
“A sports show that I listen to was talking about Jay Cutler, the way he is on the show. And I told her, I was like, ‘All right. Maybe, maybe in season 2.’ … If there’s a twelver and a deer stand and Jay and I are sitting there hunting, maybe I’ll come on the show.”
Cutler, an ex-NFL player, is known for his dry sense of humor on Very Cavallari. He’s quickly become the reality TV star we never knew we needed, and even Cavallari admitted he’s stealing the spotlight. “He’s the breakout star!,” Cavallari told E! News. “He’s comin’ for me.”
She added, “He’s had this image, playing football and everything and now it’s nice for people to see the real side of Jay. He’s very funny.”
So apparently, all thanks to Cutler’s antics, we could get to see a Cavallari-Colletti reunion. Colletti did point out, however, that fans shouldn’t be getting their hopes up for an entire Laguna Beach reunion.
“I feel like we want to leave Laguna alone,” Colletti admitted. “We had our years. We were so young back then. It seems like a lifetime ago. Laguna gets enough tourism as it is. We don’t need another show bringing more people around during the summer seasons.”
Whether or not Colletti decides to give reality TV another go, he’s already made his name as a reputable actor. He began his new career path in 2007 by starring in One Tree Hill, and we suspect we’ll see a lot more of him.
One reboot we actually might be able to get our hopes up for is The Hills, the spinoff series to Laguna Beach. Cavallari was one of The Hills’ stars, too, and she’s already admitted to being open to it. While appearing on The Jenny McCarthy Show, she claimed she was “ready.” She even spilled, “Truth be told, they were trying to get us all together.”
Some of the show’s biggest stars, such as Lauren Conrad and Lo Bosworth, have already turned down appearing on the revival. According to Cavallari, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt “pulled out” of it, as well. “Well, it’s for a specific reason they can’t do it,” she pointed out. “They have another contract so they’re not able to do it. I’m spilling all the beans today.”
However, Audrina Patridge has claimed, “I’m not opposed to it,” as has Whitney Port. “I think there’s a slight possibility,” she told Us Weekly. “People are talking about it a little, but there’s nothing actually like concrete in the works. I think it would be hard to get everybody back together again just because we’re all in such different places, but it’d definitely be something fun.”
