Is the Kardashian-Jenner’s Annual Christmas Eve Party Still Happening This Year? Khloé Kardashian Gives Update on the Family’s 2020 Holiday Plans
When it comes to Christmas, the Kardashian-Jenners go all out. Not only do they set up massive holiday displays in their homes and send out fabulous holiday cards each year, but the famous bunch also throws a lavish Christmas Eve party which is the biggest display of opulence in the entire Kardashian-Jenner calendar.
For the reality stars, celebrating the yuletide season isn’t complete without their annual Christmas Eve party. However, with the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic sweeping the nation nowadays, fans can’t help but wonder: Is the family’s 2020 holiday celebration canceled?
The Kardashian-Jenners are known for keeping holiday traditions alive
The Kardashian-Jenners certainly know how to celebrate the holidays.
Each year, the famous bunch pull out all of the stops for Christmastime and always seem to outdo themselves when it comes to keeping their elaborate holiday traditions alive.
From their annual Christmas cards to their over-the-top decorations, the Kar-Jenners take the holidays very seriously, and lately, that’s caused some major drama to ensue.
In case you forgot, in 2018, a huge fight broke out between Kim and Kourtney Kardashian after the Poosh founder wasn’t willing to change her schedule to shoot the family’s holiday card. At one point, the reality stars were close to forgoing their annual Christmas card but ended up dropping a surprise image on Christmas Eve.
“This year we waited until the last minute to do a card,” Kim wrote on Instagram, revealing the photo. “Schedules were changing, my husband was in and out of town. But the day of this card last minute realized we were all together so we had all of our kids come meet us. Kendall and my mom rushed to a meeting after this shoot so this is what we have! As many of us as possible! From our family to yours Merry Christmas.”
In 2019, each KarJenner sibling decided to do their own thing when it came to Christmas photos, but one tradition they kept intact was their annual Christmas Eve party.
Though Kris Jenner has passed down the annual Christmas party to her daughters, the last two holiday bashes have been just as memorable as the ones before. And because they were so extravagant, many can’t help but wonder what the family has up their sleeves for this year’s Christmas celebration — that is, if the coronavirus pandemic didn’t put a damper on their plans.
Khloé Kardashian just gave an update on her family’s Christmas Eve plans
With the holiday season now approaching, fans are worried that the Kardashian-Jenners won’t be able to throw their annual Christmas Eve extravaganza due to the ongoing spread of the coronavirus.
Since the family’s Christmas bash is usually attended by hundreds of their closest friends, holding a party that size would violate social distancing regulations. Because of this, some fans are convinced the lavish function won’t take place at all this year.
Luckily, Khloé Kardashian just responded to this concern on Twitter, revealing that even though we’re in the middle of a global pandemic, the family still plans to celebrate the holidays — just in a safer way.
“It will have to be way smaller, obviously,” she replied to a fan expressing concern that the annual Christmas party would be canceled this year.
“And I’m totally fine with that! But we’re definitely celebrating Christmas! It will just have to be small and safe,” she continued. “Maybe do rapid testing before. We have to think of what is safest.”
While it’s unclear if the Kardashian-Jenners started planning out their holiday festivities, it’s likely the family will still have a very merry holiday regardless of what they decide to do.
