Is This The 1 Bad Habit Meghan Markle Can’t Break?

There has been perhaps no other person on earth that has so effortlessly slide into royal life than Duchess Meghan Markle. The former actress has joined the Windsor clan with more grace and class than we could muster on our best day. From her cheery disposition and welcoming personality to her stunning sense of style and warm presence, Markle pretty much owns being royal.

The newest royal has made being royal super approachable, from her first official public appearance with Prince Harry at the 2016 Invictus Games where she wore sneakers, to her giggle fests with Camilla Parker Bowles and the queen, she’s humanized being royal in a way that few have done before her.

Though she’s pretty much mastered everything having to do with being a member of Queen Elizabeth’s family, there is one nasty little habit that might not be a big deal for us but is a massive snafu that the duchess can’t seem to break.

A handsy habit

Like any fashion-forward gal, Duchess Meghan Markle often chooses dresses and clothing that have pockets. Who doesn’t love a handy pocket to store your lip gloss, gum or sunglasses? However, Markle seems to have a habit of shoving her hands in her pockets. Etiquette expert William Hanson told Daily Mail that the mother-to-be’s constant habit is “a step too far.” Though her easy, breezy laid back personality is certainly a breath of fresh air for the often stuffy royal family, the hands in her pockets might just be pushing the limit when it comes to royal decorum. Hanson explained, “the pose is too relaxed and too unprofessional for a royal appearance.”

Good casual v. bad casual

While Hanson acknowledges that Markle placing her hands in her pockets certainly doesn’t signify the end of the world, he suggests that she might try and correct her habit for future engagements. He explained, “There is good casual and there is bad casual. Placing a hands in the pocket is too relaxed and unprofessional, however dressed down Prince Harry and his wife may have been. Will the world end? No. It is just a small blip in Meghan’s usually delightful manners that can be easily corrected for future engagements.”

We think that Markle’s habit has more to do with her not knowing what to do with her hands which we can most certainly relate to. Or it could be the fact that pockets in dresses are simply iconic and Markle wants to show them off which we completely understand.

Another bad habit

While Markle’s pocket habit might be annoying to some, we think the habit the queen hopes she and Prince Harry beak is their penchant for PDA. The pair has been known to make googly eyes at one another, hold hands, smooch, and there might have even been some upper thigh and butt grazing as well. Either way as far as bad habits are concerned we hardly think placing hands in your pocket or PDA are anything to write home about.
