The serenade included two versions of the “Happy Birthday” song – first the traditional one, followed by the Stevie Wonder rendition, Page Six reported. “Shout out to Beyoncé, Jay-Z told the audience. “Beautiful Bey is in the house tonight. Happy birthday, my love.”

The “Crazy In Love” singer, stood to the side of the stage, where she danced with Destiny’s Child bandmate Michelle Williams, wearing a Houston Rockets t-shirt to honor her hometown which has been stricken with flooding and destruction after Hurricane Harvey.

Fellow celebrities posted birthday wishes to the singer on social media today. Infrequent poster Adele who hadn’t tweeted since Aug. 19 emerged on Twitter with a black and white photo of Beyoncé with the message, “Happy Birthday to the Queen @Beyonce We love you like no other x”.

The pop star’s father, Matthew Knowles, also posted an emotional tribute video on Twitter where he fought back tears while saying, “I love you with all my heart. I’m so proud of you. I just wanted to tell you Happy Birthday.”

The singer’s mother, Tina Knowles, posted a tribute of her own on Instagram with the caption, “36 years ago God Chose me out of all the women in the world to be your mother! How blessed could I be? Not because you are a super talented, smart business woman and one of the biggest superstars! It’s because you are the kindest most generous, thoughtful, intuitive, loyal, humble, funny, grounded, grateful and loving human being. I am proud to be your mom ❤️Happy Birthday Baby! I love you with my whole heart❤️”

In addition to attending her husband’s concert, Beyoncé also spent her birthday weekend attending Budweiser’s Made In America Festival in Philadelphia, E! News reported, where Jay-Z and her sister Solange performed. The couple also brought their kids to the festival: twins Rumi and Sir, and older sister Blue Ivy. The couple’s mothers also attended the event.
