Jake Paul’s Home Has Been Raided By the FBI
Jake Paul’s quiet, Calabasas neighborhood was transformed into a scene out of a military movie on Wednesday, August 5. According to reports, a swarm of FBI agents, many wearing tactical gear, descended on Paul’s home to issue a warrant. For several hours, agents were seen removing items from the house. So, what exactly is Paul wrapped up in? The raid is believed to be connected to a May 2020 rioting incident.
Jake Paul was issued a summons in Scottsdale, Arizona in May 2020
On May 30, 2020, Paul, along with several friends, was involved in a demonstration that police claim devolved into a riot. The rally, which began as a peaceful protest, led participants down the streets of Scottsdale until a small faction broke into Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall. Police instructed the protestors to leave the area, but a small group stayed on the scene.
According to AZ Central, the mall sustained massive damage during the riot. Windows were broken, merchandise was stolen, and walls were tagged with graffiti. Paul was identified as a rioter through video evidence. He was issued a summons but was not arrested. According to CNN, The Scottsdale Police Department has dropped the charges against Paul, citing the federal investigation into the content creator.
The FBI has issued a statement about Jake Paul
Paul’s home was not the only house raided by the FBI. A home in Las Vegas was also visited by the FBI. According to several sources, the Vegas home is owned by Armani Izadi. Izadi and Paul, who are long time friends, were together in Scottsdale, Arizona back in May 2020.
According to TMZ, the Federal Bureau of Investigations stated that the raid on the home was connected to the Scottsdale incident. The department’s spokesperson did not mention what was removed from the house. Paul was not home when the warrant was served and he has yet to address the situation publicly.
The raid appears to have nothing to do with a recent party Paul threw at the sprawling mansion
When word broke that Paul’s home had been raided by the FBI, some followers surmised the investigation was somehow connected to a party that Paul threw at the Calabasas mansion about two weeks ago. The FBI, however, has confirmed that the investigation is connected to Paul’s reported participation in looting and rioting in Scottsdale, Arizona, according to ABC News.
The party that some fans referenced took place just as California began recording record numbers of Coronavirus cases. Pictures from the party were leaked on social media, and Paul was dragged by followers. The mayor of Calabasas issued a statement regarding the incident.
