Jana Duggar Posted About Her ‘Happy Childhood’ and ‘Godly Parents’ After Derick Dillard Spills More Tea About the Duggars
While reality TV has brought the Duggar family plenty of cash flow, it can’t be easy being one of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s kids. The controversial couple brought their 19 kids into the spotlight steadily over the last decade, and it’s now their adult children who are taking the fame now. And currently, all eyes are on Jill Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard, after he made scathing claims against the Duggars on his Instagram.
As for Jana Duggar, she’s officially 30 years old and still living under Jim Bob and Michelle’s roof. There’s no doubt she knows what’s going on over on Dillard’s Instagram. But she’s choosing to not engage and instead is insisting that her parents are amazing, “Godly” people. Here’s what she just wrote.
Derick Dillard keeps dissing the Duggars and TLC on his Instagram
It’s been a wild ride for Jill and her husband since the end of 2019. Counting On fans may remember a few years back when Dillard got himself removed from TLC due to transphobic tweets against Jazz Jennings. Now, after his Instagram followers asked him if he ever sees the Duggars anymore, he’s coming forward with direct claims against Jill’s family and TLC.
According to Dillard, he and Jill rarely see the Duggars anymore because Jim Bob must give express permission to them before they can visit the family home. “Jill even had to ask JB permission to go over to the house to help her sister when she was in labor because her sister wanted her help, but Jill couldn’t provide the assistance until we got it cleared with JB,” Dillard wrote on Instagram.
Not only that, but Dillard claimed he and Jill were pressured to continue filming Counting On by TLC even when they didn’t want to. And In Touch Weekly notes even more recently, Dillard told his followers that TLC cut him and Jill out of the Counting On special that featured Grandma Mary Duggar’s funeral.
A few other Duggars mentioned they adore Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar amid the controversy
It seems none of Jill’s siblings are speaking out regarding Dillard’s controversial statements. But there’s no doubt they know what’s going on — and a few members of the family have seemed to mention how much they adore Jim Bob and Michelle despite whatever Dillard may be saying.
On Dec. 29, Josiah and Lauren Duggar took to Instagram to share a photo of Michelle and Jim Bob. “I am so grateful for these two amazing people right here!” the couple captioned the post. “So grateful for their godly example they have set for their children and grandchildren. As you can tell by Bella’s smile we love them so much!”
Jessa took to the photo to give a comment, too. “They’re the best!” she wrote. And, of course, she completed the comment with heart-eyed emojis.
Jana Duggar also posted about how wonderful her childhood was and parents are
While Josiah and Lauren Duggar posted how much they love Jim Bob and Michelle, Jana’s following suit. She posted photos from when she was young on Jan. 13, and she went on to talk about her “happy childhood” and how it was one of the “greatest gifts” she was given.
“Mom and Pops, THANK YOU for giving us that gift, for encouraging us to be creative, play on swing sets, and build forts in the trees, and for supporting our many ideas and experiments—from our dirt pile in the backyard to ventures around the world,” Jana continued. “You’ve always said that ‘children are a blessing’ but having godly parents who love us unconditionally is our biggest blessing!!”
She then completed the caption with hashtags such as “#familyisthebestgift” and “#bestparentsever.”
It’s entirely possible Jana’s calling out Jim Bob and Michelle in this reflection since she just turned 30. But she also might be trying to cover up all of the negative comments from Dillard. It seems odd that multiple Duggars have called out how wonderful they think Jim Bob and Michelle are, so we’ll keep an eye out for whatever else the Duggar kids are posting.
