January TV: Here’s When All Your Favorite Shows Are Returning

January will see the return of many popular television shows from their winter hiatuses, in addition to the slew of new series premiering over the coming weeks. Here’s when you can once again tune into your favorite shows this month:

January 5
Chicago Fire and Chicago Med will return to the second half of their fourth and first seasons respectively, in a two-night crossover event. The event kicks off on this Tuesday at 10 p.m. Eastern time.

January 6
The Mysteries of Laura, the sitcom starring Debra Messing as a detective who struggles to balance her personal and professional lives, returns with brand new episodes of sophopmore season. The show airs at 8 p.m. ET, followed by long-running crime drama Law and Order: SVU.

Chicago P.D will also return to air as part of NBC’s #OneChicago two-night crossover, which starts on the 5th and continues into Wednesday the 6th in its usual 10 p.m. slot.

January 7
Heroes Reborn will air the final three episodes of its 13-episode revival at 8 p.m. ET, followed by The Blacklist at 9 p.m. ET.

January 29
Grimm will return for the second half of its fifth season. The police procedural fantasy drama airs on Friday nights at 9 p.m. ET.

January 3
Galavant is back against all odds for a second season. It airs at 8 p.m. ET.

January 5
Marvel’s Agent Carter returns for its 10-episode sophomore season, airing during the mid-season break of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

January 6
ABC’s night of family comedies returns with Modern Family and black-ish, starting at 9 p.m. ET. Those are followed by the sophomore season of American Crime, which airs at 10 p.m. ET.

January 4
Superhero hit Supergirl is back to its 8 p.m. ET timeslot, following a cliffhanger-packed freshman season fall finale. Scorpion and NCIS also return for their latest seasons.

January 5
NCIS spin-offs NCIS: LA and NCIS: New Orleans return to air. The hit thriller drama Limitless, starring Jake McDorman, also returns for the latter half of its freshman season, airing at 10 p.m. ET.

January 6
Mike and Molly, starring Melissa McCarthy and Billy Gardner, returns for its sixth and final season. It will air in its usual 8:30 P.M. ET timeslot.

January 7
The Big Bang Theory returns for the second half of its eighth season, airing on Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET. Life in Pieces follows at 8:30 p.m., with Mom airing at 9 p.m.

January 10
Madam Secretary is back for its second season, airing on Sundays at 8 p.m. ET. The Good Wife  also returns at 9 p.m.ET.

January 13
CBS’s new medical drama, Code Black, returns to its freshman season at 10 p.m. ET.

January 5
New Girl, starring Zooey Deschanel, Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield, and Lamorne Morris, will kick off its fifth season at 8 p.m. ET. Comedies Grandfathered, The Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and The Grinder will also reutrn, starting at 8:30 p.m. ET.

January 24
OK, so it’s been over a decade, but The X-Files is technically a returning favorite. The highly anticipated revival, starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson in their original roles, will have a two-night premiere, starting on this Sunday at 10 p.m. ET.

iZombie returns to its Tuesday night, 9 p.m. ET timeslot.

January 19
The Flash is back for the second half of season two, following its explosive midseason finale. The comic-inspired series will return to its regular 8 p.m. ET timeslot.

January 20
Arrow is back in its 8 p.m. ET time slot on Wednesday nights, with the long-running favorite Supernatural following at 9 p.m. ET.

January 21
The CW’s critically acclaimed post-apocalyptic drama, The 100, returns for its highly anticipated third season. The show airs at 9 p.m. ET.

January 25
Jane the Virgin is back for its sophomore season on Monday nights at 9 p.m. ET.

January 29
The Vampire Diaries returns for its latest at 8 p.m. ET, followed by The Originals at 9 p.m. ET.

January 6
The award-winning comedy series It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia will return for its 10th season. The series, starring Charlie Day, Danny Devito, RobMcElhenney, Glenn Howerton, and Kaitlin Olson, airs on Wednesdays at 10 p.m.

The freshman comedy Man Seeking Woman, starring Jay Baruchel as a naïve and soft-spoken 27-year-old man struggling to find love, also returns for its 10-episode sophomore season.

Workaholics, starring Blake Anderson, Adam DeVine,and  Anders Holm, is back for its sixth season on Comedy Central.

Shameless, starring William H. Macy, Emmy Rossum, and Justin Chatwin, will debut its season six premiere. The show airs at 9 p.m ET.

Ray Stevenson joins the Black Sails cast as the legendary Blackbeard for the show’s third season.ow will look drastically different than the first, taking place on a mysterious island instead of inside an arctic lab.
