Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are officially husband and wife. The Vanderpump Rules couple got hitched June 29 in the bride’s home state of Kentucky. 

In attendance was much of the VPR cast, including Kristen Doute, Scheana Shay, Lala Kent, Stassi Schroeder, Ariana Madix, Katie Maloney, Tom Schwartz, and Tom Sandoval, who were all members of the couple’s super-sized wedding party. Even Lisa Vanderpump and her husband Ken Todd put in an appearance, despite speculation that the restaurateur would skip the event because of the recent death of her mother. 

Now that the big celebration is over, few would be surprised if Taylor and Cartwright jetted off for an exotic honeymoon to enjoy some relaxing time as newlyweds. But it turns out the happy couple are taking things slow when it comes to their honeymoon. 

Jax and Brittany are spending time in Kentucky 

Rather than heading straight to the airport, the couple decided to spend some time post-wedding in Kentucky with their friends and family. Cartwright shared videos of the group enjoying ATV rides and hiking via an Instagram story the day after the wedding. Taylor also shared some updates via social media, writing “family time” on a video of the Cartwrights playing games. “I just love this place!! #kentucky” he wrote on another post. 

Where the couple might spend their honeymoon 

While it seems that the Pump Rules couple aren’t yet on their official honeymoon, that doesn’t mean they haven’t been thinking about it. Earlier this year, Cartwright told E! News she had a very specific destination in mind. 

“What the goal is right now is Jamaica. I want to go to Jamaica. My mom went to Jamaica for one of her honeymoons. That sounds awful. One of her honeymoons,” she said. “I want like an over water bungalow type situation. Definitely something like in the Caribbean or tropical.”

Bora Bora is another possible destination, the couple told People. 

Starting a family? 

The happy couple are likely eager to enjoy a much-needed vacation after the stress of wedding planning. And they might need the break in order to prepare for another major life event. The couple have been open about their desire to have kids.

“We cannot wait to start a family,” Cartwright told People. “I cannot wait to be a mom and Jax cannot wait to be a dad. He talks about it all the time. I think he’s getting more excited than I am even, which I never thought would be possible.”

The next ‘Vanderpump Rules’ wedding 

Now that Cartwright and Taylor are married, VPR fans have another wedding to look forward to. Lala Kent plans to wed her boyfriend Randall Emmett on April 18, 2020. Plus, Stassi Schroeder hinted that she might be getting ready to tie the knot with Beau Clark. Though the couple aren’t engaged, she recently said on her podcast “Straight Up with Stassi” that she wants a Halloween wedding. And she added that she’s taken inspiration from her Pump Rules co-stars elaborate wedding. 

“This three-day extravaganza … has been so fun. Now I want a destination wedding,” she said
