Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright From ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Blast 50 Cent for Lala Kent Feud
Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are defending their Vanderpump Rules co-star, Lala Kent, from the brutal attacks from 50 Cent. The Bravo celebrities are speaking out against the rapper for the way he’s been dragging Kent on social media.
50 Cent vs Lala Kent feud reignites
Shady memes have been abundant on the “Candy Man” hitmaker’s Instagram feed. The feud started after an appearance by Kent on Watch What Happens Live. The two had been at odds since earlier this year when 50 called out Kent and her fiancé Randall Emmett for owing him $1 million.
The money issue was settled with both parties ceasing attacks on social media. It all came back when Kent was asked about the situation by Andy Cohen on the Bravo talk show.
“I mean, I listened to ‘In Da Club’ on my birthday, so that was pretty lit,” Kent said on the show of getting over her drama with 50 Cent.
In a follow-up question, Kent clarified why she had deleted all of the photos of her man from social media. The SUR hostess claimed to have done so to protect Emmett from attacks.
“You know, I feel really badly for Rand at times because he signed up to be a movie producer, and he just happened to fall for someone who’s like very out there and outspoken,” Kent said. “So in the moment, I was like, ‘F this, I’m not having pictures up for people to screenshot and send to me and write mean things.’ It was just the heat of the moment.”
It was at the end of the subject, where Kent might have overstepped the line. She made a comment saying she hurt the rapper’s ego. Not only that, but she claimed to have receipts to prove it.
“I think I really dinged Fofty’s ego. In fact, I know that because I have a receipt to prove that, which I would never post because I ain’t that girl. I ain’t beefing unless I’m gettin’ paid on Vanderpump, yo,” she added.
Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright blast the rapper
After debunking rumors they were headed for divorce, Taylor and Cartwright are taking in another controversial subject. The couple has been close to Kent and doesn’t find it cool that she’s been subject to cyberbullying.
“You know [50 Cent] looks stupid, he’s the one that looks dumb, to be honest,” Taylor told Hollywood Life. “If you read all the comments everyone’s going after him, not her. That’s how bullying is. That’s how people hurt themselves.”
The SUR bartender thinks “it’s kind of crazy” how the rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, is “going after a 100-pound girl.”
Kent was slammed by Jackson who has accused her of doing cocaine. He even cited a gossip site where they claimed she was drunk during a trip to Disney World.
Cartwright, who is married to Taylor, says nothing that 50 has put out there has any validity. She feels “the worst part” of the whole situation are the “straight-up lies.” As the drama unfolds, the SUR waitress says her friend is “staying positive.”
“She’s trying not to look at stuff… don’t attack somebody for something so little, I just don’t understand,” Cartwright told the digital publication.
What does Lala Kent say about all the memes and insults?
Kent has struggled with her sobriety in the past. 50 Cent has put into question a relapse, which must be hurtful. The soon to be bride, took to Instagram to clear the air on some of the allegations the rapper made against her.
“My sobriety is something I’m proud of and work on every day,” she wrote on Instagram. “I’ve never done cocaine nor were any other substances, other than alcohol, involved in my decision to get sober.”
“The past couple of days I’ve been slammed, to say the very least. People have asked me how I’m maintaining keeping my head up. To me it’s simple — I know real life from the [illusion] of social media,” she added.
Kent has proved to be one tough cookie during this dilemma. Instead, Emmett’s fiancée is rising above all the scandal and maintaining herself leveled, which is showing progress.
