Jenelle Evans’ Restraining Order Is ‘Not Likely’ Says Farrah Abraham

Teen Mom alums Farrah Abraham and Jenelle Evans may have both been fired from the show, but that doesn’t stop the pair from commenting on each other’s lives. Recently, Abraham weighed in on the drama that Evans is facing with her now estranged husband, David Eason. In case you missed it, last week, Evans was granted a temporary restraining order against Eason, but Abraham feels that a permanent one is highly unlikely.

Jenelle Evans announces divorce from husband on Instagram

Though Evans was granted a temporary restraining order recently, she and her husband have been having problems for some time now. After Eason shot and killed their family dog, Nugget, Teen Mom fans worried that he might have a violent streak. On October 31, 2019, Evans took to her Instagram page to announce that she had filed for divorce from Eason.

“I’ve mostly kept off social media the past few days because I’ve been focused on making some big life decisions. I’ve lived my life on camera since I was 17 years old. And a lot of it hasn’t been pretty but it’s been my life. Like anyone else, I want what’s best for my kids and I want to be happy. With the time I took away from Teen Mom, I’ve started looking at my life differently and I know I need to make changes. I’m starting now. The kids and I have moved away from David. Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know that’s what is best for me, and for my kids. Today, I have filed papers to start that process,” Evans shared with her 2.9 million Instagram followers.

Evans fears for the safety of her kids

Unfortunately for Evans, things seem to have gone from bad to worse. In fact, the former Teen Mom star recently filed for a temporary restraining order against her husband. “Because of his recent threats, his history of violence, his erratic behavior and his large stockpile of weapons, I am scared for my life and my children’s well-being,” Evans cited in her reasoning for the restraining order. Luckily, Evans was issued the temporary restraining order, but according to Abraham, she’ll be hard-pressed to receive a permanent one.

Farrah Abraham weighs in on her fellow Teen Mom alum

On October 7, 2019, Too Fab caught up with Abraham and asked her to weigh in on Evans filing a restraining order against Eason. Her thoughts, while not scathing, we also not very encouraging. “I mean, the last time I Isaw them they were together. If there is abuse in those things there are helplines for women, there are many other things that is for that,” the 28-year-old shared with the news outlet.

Abraham believes a permanent order restraining isn’t likely

Abraham continued on to share that she’d found the process of getting a restraining order quite challenging. Because of her personal experiences, she felt the odds of Evan being granted a permanent restraining order were unlikely. “I think that the whole situation is tricky because when you live with someone, you have babies with them, getting restraining orders are not likely. I just know that from getting restraining orders on exes… and I don’t even have babies with them. It’s just relationships,” Abraham said. For Evans’ sake, and for the sake of her children, we hope that Abraham is wrong and she is able to secure the documentation she needs to remain safe.
