Jenelle Evans announced she is divorcing David Eason

The married couple is officially calling it quits. Evans announced that she filed for divorce on Instagram.

“The kids and I have moved away from David,” she revealed in her statement. “Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know thats [sic] what is best for me, and for my kids.”

It then ended with, “Today I’ve filed papers to start that process. I appreciate the support from everybody who has asked how I am. Me and the kids are doing great. We need some time to be together. But you’ll hear from us again soon.”

Eason reportedly shot Evans’ dog, Nugget earlier this year. She was then fired from Teen Mom 2. The parents later temporarily lost custody of their children and had to go to court to regain custody.

A source claimed to know what led to Evans walking out. “David was on his best behavior in court, when he had to prove himself to regain custody of the kids,” a source told Us Weekly. “But once it was over, he was right back to his old self.”

Evans had her restraining order against him extended

The mother filed for a restraining order against Eason on Nov. 4, 2019. She claimed there were “several incidents” of “alleged abuse” by him in documents. “She is concerned for her and her children’s safety,” they also read.

A temporary restraining order was granted. That order has since been extended into the new year.

Evans went to circuit court on Dec. 11 and a judge granted the extension, according to Radar Online. “There has been a continuance until the 13th of January,” a Davidson County clerk said. “The order of protection will be extended until that date.” Eason and Evans will have to return to court on Jan. 13, 2020.

She posted a quote about dying and rising

It’s not a secret that Evans has gone through a lot. She tweeted a quote that reflects that for her birthday on Dec. 19.

“‘Sometimes you have to kind of die inside in order to rise from your own ashes and believe in yourself and love yourself to become a new person.’ – Gerard Way #HappyBirthdayToMe,” the former reality star tweeted with two photos of herself.

Fans are leaving supportive messages under the tweet. “I am so happy you decided to leave David and it was all done on your own…you deserve to be happy and so do your kids. Sending good vibes your way. #NewJenelle #WhosThis,” one person tweeted.

“Keep at it girl it’s a hard road to climb but stay focused and don’t repeat your patterns. Don’t let anyone make you feel something you don’t want to feel,” another fan tweeted.
