The cameras caught Aniston’s reaction to Pitt’s speech

Praise the Golden Globes planners who seated Aniston in the perfect location in the crowd because the cameras caught her reaction when Pitt accepted the Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture award for his role in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Aniston was seated directly behind Pitt’s co-star from the movie, Leonardo DiCaprio, making it the ideal opportunity to capture the actress when panning to DiCaprio.

The camera cut to Aniston during the acceptance speech, where she appeared supportive as she listened, but his quip about his dating life got a laugh from his ex. Pitt noted: “I wanted to bring my mom but I couldn’t because anyone I stand next to, they say I’m dating. And that would just be awkward.”

Fans were thrilled, with one tweeting: “Why do we STILL want them to get back together?” and another pointing out: “The fact that Jennifer Aniston is seated behind Leo DiCaprio while Brad Pitt talks to him during his acceptance speech is *DIRECTION*.”

Are Pitt and Aniston back on good terms?

While many fans have been hopeful over the years that the two would get back together after the power couple split in 2005 following five years of marriage when he fell for Angelina Jolie, it seemed it wasn’t in the cards. Then Pitt and Jolie split and the Aniston fans were again watching with great interest in the situation.

After the Golden Globes nominations were announced in December, Us Weekly reported that if the two ran into each other at the event, it wouldn’t be “tense or uncomfortable.”

In fact, before the Golden Globes, Pitt told Entertainment Tonight that he was looking forward to seeing Aniston. He shared, “I’ll run into Jen, she’s a good friend.”

When he was told that the world wants a photo of them together, Pitt joked: “The second most important reunion of her year? I understand… That was a play on Friends. They were saying that.”

Pitt and Aniston were at the same Golden Globes afterparties

Pitt and Aniston were both spotted at Netflix’s Golden Globes afterparty at The Beverly Hilton, with a source telling Us Weekly that they sat at different tables and didn’t interact at the party. The insider shared: “Jennifer and him didn’t even appear as though they’d seen each other. They were in different areas of the venue.”

E! News reported that Pitt and Aniston were later spotted at the CAA afterparty at the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood. A source shared: “They said hello very quickly. Jen arrived after Brad. It was brief, but [they] were very cordial and friendly and seemed happy to be there. They approached each other once they saw each other inside and looked happy as they started to hug and say hello.”

The source continued: “Jen whispered something to Brad, but it wasn’t in an affectionate way. They both didn’t seem like they wanted to make a big deal about being together in the same room although it was a private party. They were trying to be low-key. Brad left shortly after and didn’t stay at the party long.”
