Jennifer Aniston Encourages People to Wear a Mask in a New Instagram Post
Jennifer Aniston is taking the coronavirus (COVID-19) seriously, and she wants to make sure her Instagram followers do too. On July 19, Aniston posted a photo on Instagram of her friend in the hospital with coronavirus. A second photo showed her and Courteney Cox wearing masks. In the Instagram post, Aniston encouraged her followers to wear masks as well.
Jennifer Aniston issued a warning about the coronavirus
In her Instagram post, Aniston shared two photos. In the first photo, her friend Kevin is hospitalized with coronavirus. The second photo showed Aniston and Cox wearing matching masks. In the caption of the photo, Aniston explained that although her friend had no underlying health conditions, he still caught the coronavirus. Thankfully, she let fans know that her friend Kevin has been recovering.
She also used the post to encourage her followers to take coronavirus seriously, writing:
“This is our friend Kevin. Perfectly healthy, not one underlying health issue. This is Covid. This is real. ⠀
We can’t be so naive to think we can outrun this…if we want this to end, and we do, right? The one step we can take is PLEASE #wearad*mnmask.⠀
Just think about those who’ve already suffered through this horrible virus. Do it for your family. And most of all yourself. Covid affects all ages.
PS this photo was taken in early April. Thank god he has almost recovered now. Thank you all for your prayers.”
Jennifer Aniston wants her fans to wear a mask
This is not the first time Aniston has used her platform to post about the coronavirus. In an Instagram post published on June 30, Aniston urged her followers to wear a mask.
“I understand masks are inconvenient and uncomfortable. But don’t you feel that it’s worse that businesses are shutting down… jobs are being lost… health care workers are hitting absolute exhaustion. And so many lives have been taken by this virus because we aren’t doing enough.
I really do believe in the basic goodness of people so I know we can all do this BUT still, there are many people in our country refusing to take the necessary steps to flatten the curve, and keep each other safe. People seem worried about their ‘rights being taken away’ by being asked to wear a mask. This simple and effective recommendation is being politicized at the expense of peoples’ lives. And it really shouldn’t be a debate ⠀
If you care about human life, please… just #wearad*mnmask and encourage those around you to do the same.”
Courteney Cox shared a post of her own
Like Aniston, Cox also used her Instagram platform to encourage people to wear masks while out in public. However, she took a lighthearted approach and posted a video of her with Aniston and a pair of dogs. In the video, one dog tries to persuade the other to put on a mask. At the end of the video, Aniston and posed with the dogs while wearing masks.
