Right now, Aniston and Witherspoon are spending a lot of time together. They’ve been doing press for their new series together, The Morning Show, which will premiere with the launch of Apple TV+ on Nov. 1, 2019. And as you can see, it’s a star-studded cast.

Aniston portrays Alex Levy, the long-running host of a morning talk show, whose life changes drastically when her co-host, Mitch (played by Steve Carrell) is accused of sexual misconduct and fired. Witherspoon is Bradley Jackson, a new host who comes in to shake things up.

Both Witherspoon and Aniston are known for being movie actresses for the past decade or so. However, the fact that they are reuniting on TV makes perfect sense, because that’s how they first became acquainted. Back in 2000, Witherspoon appeared in two episodes of Friends as Rachel’s sister, Jill Green.

That could have been the end of the story, but it’s not. Ever since, the two actresses have remained close. Aniston even presented Witherspoon with the American Cinematheque Award in 2015. And they’ve been seen together many other times over the years. This is a true friendship.

Now that they’re promoting The Morning Show together, they have plenty of time to catch up. And, naturally, to gift the internet with some seriously sweet moments. During a recent interview with Access Hollywood, the above exchange occurred, and Witherspoon loved it so much she had to share it on Instagram herself.

In the interview, they were presented with several photos of themselves. One was from Friends, and, as it turns out, featured a favorite line of Witherspoon’s from the series. Watch the clip above to see them reenact the moment almost two decades later.

Aniston and Witherspoon love each other

As if it couldn’t get any cuter, we’ve got another clip, this one from their interview with People Magazine that same day. In it, the two actresses share what they love about one another, and it’s so undeniably heartwarming.

Witherspoon calls Aniston, “One of the most generous, loving people who has the most loyal, devoted friendships.” Aniston says of Witherspoon, “You are one of the most generous, kind, loving, thoughtful, concerned, partners-in-crime, friends.” There’s more, but honestly, you should watch for yourself.
