Jennifer Garner Shares Her Recipe For Fruit Loop Pizza
Everyone is dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic in their own unique ways, including Jennifer Garner and other celebrities. Quarantines and lockdowns inspired country singer Dolly Parton to write a new song. Pop stars Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato started meditating. And Kim Kardashian West says she’s using her newfound free time to organize personal photos. Meanwhile, actor and producer Jennifer Garner have gone a more traditional route: Cooking. But one of the actor’s favorite new recipes is raising some eyebrows.
Garner was inspired to act because of her love for the theater stage
According to IMDb, Garner spent most of her teen years studying ballet — not because she was necessarily good at it, but because of her “love of the stage.” The outlet says that after high school, Garner went to college to study chemistry. “She changed her major when she discovered that her passion for the stage was stronger than her love of science,” IMDb reports. After college, Garner moved to New York and worked as a hostess while pursuing her acting career.
Her first few roles were in small guest roles on shows like Law & Order. But her big break came in the early 2000s when she starred in both Felicity and as the lead character in Alias. “Following her TV success, she landed roles in films like Catch Me If You Can, Elektra, The Kingdom, Juno, and Dallas Buyers Club,” explains Biography. Over her two-decades-long career, Garner has received numerous accolades, including multiple nominations for the Golden Globes and Emmys.
When she’s not acting, Garner loves to cook

In 2018, Garner launched Once Upon a Farm, her own organic, fresh baby food company. “Bringing good nutrition to children everywhere has been our mission since the beginning,” Garner told Forbes. But food and nutrition aren’t just a side gig for Garner. She’s also a self-professed foodie. The actor regularly shares videos of herself cooking on YouTube and on Instagram.
“[She’s] an enthusiastic home cook who seems to have a history of obsessing over celebrity chefs (she owns a Labrador retriever named Martha Stewart),” reports W Magazine. Some of Garner’s latest culinary attempts have included vegan peaches and biscuits, homemade bagels (inspired by Mel’s Kitchen Cafe and American baker Rose Levy Beranbaum), and celebrity chef Ina Garten’s chicken chili.
But when she’s not using other people’s recipes, Garner is inventing her own concoctions. On a brand-new March 2021 episode of the YouTube series Hot Ones, Garner opened up about one of her own personal food creations that she’s been making during the pandemic.
Garner loves to make Froot Loop pizza
Two minutes into her episode of Hot Ones, Garner reveals her secret recipe for Froot Loop pizza. “You ready?” she asked host Sean Evans. She says you take pizza dough and spread it with marshmallow fluff. “[Put it] into the … very hot oven until the pizza dough is cooked and the fluff is browned. Sprinkle liberally with Froot Loops and then enjoy!”
Garner’s new movie, Yes Day, recently came out on Netflix. In it, she plays a mom who agrees to say yes to any of her children’s crazy ideas for 24 hours. In her personal life, the actor notes that she also gives her children a “yes day.” And her unusual pizza recipe is often a part of her family’s requests.
“One of the first things they ask for on ‘yes day’ is something with Froot Loops,” Garner tells Entertainment Weekly.” They only get them on ‘yes day,’ and I’m fine with that. I’m not working to take down a Froot Loop.”
