The Sad Reason Some Fans Think Jeremy Vuolo Married Jinger Duggar

Marriage and family is very important in the Duggar family. However, some fans think Jeremy Vuolo and Jinger Duggar’s marriage isn’t what it appears to be. Specifically, some Counting On Viewers believe Jeremy had ulterior motives when he joined the Duggar family. Here’s why.

How Jeremy Vuolo and Jinger Duggar met

Jinger has a very large family, so it’s no surprise she met Jeremy through a family member. It’s also not a big surprise they met within a church setting. She shared how she and Jeremy met in Jeremy and Audrey Roloff’s podcast Behind the Scenes. Jinger said she was attracted to Jeremy’s love for God. She told the Roloffs she met guys who grew up in religious families but didn’t have a relationship with God. Jinger said the fact that Jeremy seemed devoted to his faith drew her to him:

We met through my brother-in-law and sister, Ben and Jess. And so, they met Jeremy at a fellowship that was going on in his house… I knew Jeremy for some months before we started a relationship… I was able to spend some time with him. We were on a missions trip together, and that’s when I remember distinctly being able to see these qualities that I had prayed for in a spouse. The non-negotiables, the things that you know that you have to have in a spouse, a man who loves Christ with all of his heart and is committed to just running heart after Christ.

Jinger and Jeremy are now married with children, but the Counting On star didn’t think her now-husband found her to be all that special when they first met. Jinger told Jeremy and Audrey Roloff she didn’t think Jeremy was all that into her. “I knew he was an awesome guy, but I [thought] he would never be interested in me, she said in the Behind the Scenes podcast.

Some fans think Jinger’s observation is still true. They don’t believe Jeremy is really into Jinger and that he married her for all the wrong reasons. So, why do fans think Jeremy married Jinger? Most fans think Jeremy courted and eventually married Jinger because he was looking for fame. According to them, he was looking for a way to stay relevant after his soccer career ended. Here’s what one Redditor had to say:

Jinger’s blathering on and on about how they’re on the fast track to marriage (this took place a couple months into their courtship BTW) and Jeremy looks scared. It’s obvious he wasn’t on board with the idea of marrying Jinger, but he somehow came around (probably after making a list of pros and cons, the main pro being “FAME!”). Jeremy’s obvious reluctance in this clip cements my belief that his main motivator behind marrying into this train wreck of a family is fame.

Another Redditor added she thinks the end of Jeremy’s soccer career played a big role in his decision to marry into the Duggar family. “I think he pushed marriage. I think he wanted fame again and saw it as ‘God rewarding him’ after he lost, I mean, gave up his soccer fame to become a pastor,” said the Counting On fan.
