Jeremy Vuolo of ‘Counting On’ Confirms He and Jinger Duggar Are Big Fans of Kanye West
Kanye West has been in the news lately for all the wrong reasons. His unusual presidential campaign, bizarre Twitter rants, and rumors of breakdown in his marriage to Kim Kardashian-West have left even longtime fans scratching their heads — and worrying about the rapper’s health. But the Grammy winner still has plenty of supporters, including Jeremy Vuolo of Counting On.
Fans spotted a Kanye West record on Jeremy Vuolo’s shelf
A recent post on Jinger Duggar’s Instagram featured her husband working on a new episode of the couple’s The Hope We Hold podcast. Eagle-eyed fans spotted something interesting on Jeremy’s bookshelf.
“Please tell me that the record in the background is Kanye’s Jesus Is King or Sunday Service Choir!! We love that in our house!” the person wrote.
Jeremy, 32, confirmed the fan was correct. “Yes! Vinyl and tape,” he replied.
Jinger and Jeremy attended Kanye’s Sunday Service last year
Jinger and Jeremy’s enthusiasm for West’s music is no surprise to those who’ve been following the couple on Instagram. In October 2019, they attended his Sunday Service at the Forum in Los Angeles. In a couple of Instagram Live videos, Jeremy shared his thoughts on West’s turn toward religion and what he thought it meant. He also shared his reaction to the performance itself.
“I enjoyed it,” Vuolo said. “I think, honestly, from an artistic, from a musical perspective, it was one of the greatest pieces of art, pieces of musical art, that I’ve ever witnessed live.”
Jeremy also revealed a connection between himself and West. He explained that the pastor who was working with West attended the same seminary that Jeremy is currently attending and also has a church on the school’s campus.
Jinger is also enjoying Kanye West’s music
Jeremy’s enthusiasm for West’s album seems to have rubbed off on his wife. In January, Jinger, 26, shared an Instagram Story where she was listening to “Jesus Is Lord,” a track from Jesus Is King.
Some fans were shocked the Jinger would be listening to music from the self-proclaimed Christian rapper.
“So you really listen to Kanye West?” one asked.
Jinger and Jeremy seem sold on West. But some of their followers expressed disappointment that they would endorse the controversial artist.
“Glad to see you’re easily manipulated to think that Kanye suddenly ‘found Jesus.’ Give me a break,” one commented on Jinger’s recent post.
“Sad part is, is that Kanye thinks he is the lord our saviour and that’s totally so wrong,” another wrote.
