‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ Fans Can Get Cozy With Lauren Sorrentino This Holiday
Jersey Shore: Family Vacation fans are excited about Lauren Sorrentino becoming a bigger part of the series. So far, Lauren has joined her husband, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, on his journey to Las Vegas to repair the damage within the family caused by Angelina Pivarnick’s wedding.
But outside of the MTV reality series, Lauren has several side projects — including her latest fashion endeavor. Jersey Shore fans can get cozy with “Laurens” this holiday thanks to her winter clothing line.
Lauren Sorrentino didn’t intend on becoming a reality star
Many people know “Laurens” as the wife of “The Situation.” More recently, she has become a significant part of the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation series. But before she became a reality star, Lauren pursued fashion merchandising in college.
Sorrentino attended LIM College in New York City, majoring in business with a focus on merchandising. When Showbiz Cheat Sheet spoke with Mrs. Sorrentino in August 2020, she spoke fondly of her education.
“I was able to intern at some incredible places in their buying and business departments [throughout college],” Lauren said. She worked with Chanel’s corporate offices, Bergdorf Goodman, Elle.com, and even Salvatore Ferragamo.
Upon graduation, Lauren landed a job as a buyer at Macy’s and later worked at Saks as an associate buyer. But when Lauren reconnected with Mike, she decided to put her fashion career on the back burner to join him in the world of entertainment.
Lauren Sorrentino is reality star with a side gig in fashion
After a few years away from her passion, Lauren is finally diving back into fashion. Earlier in 2020, she collaborated with the Eleventh Hour sunglasses brand to create a line of stylish sunglasses made with acetate frames and polarized lenses.
“When I found Eleventh Hour [sunglasses], I saw the work and the craftsmanship and the quality [owner Carli Mink] put behind [the brand] and just felt something like that under $100 is unheard of,” Lauren told Showbiz. “I was really excited to work with her and bring it to the masses.”
By partnering with Eleventh Hour, Lauren hopes to shine a light on a growing small business and turn her followers on to some affordable luxury fashion options.
Lauren Sorrentino is offering comfy clothing from the LS x Lauren collection
Ironically when we spoke to Lauren in August, she referred to her partnership with Eleventh Hour as a “springboard” back into the world of fashion design. She seemed excited about the prospect of pursuing more fashion-related endeavors — and that’s what she has done!
Lauren works with Mike to create the “Big Daddy Sitch” inspired merchandise offered at the Sitch Store. Now, Lauren has her own line of comfortable clothing, LS by Lauren. So far, the site offers cropped hoodies, crewnecks, and sweatpants featuring a star sign or Lauren’s signature phrase, “Manifest that sh*t.”
Can fans expect maternity clothing from Lauren Sorrentino?
Mike and Lauren announced their pregnancy over the Thanksgiving holiday. “Our biggest blessing is on its way,” Lauren shared on Instagram with photos featuring her husband, dog, and a message in flour that read “Baby Sorrentino May 2021.”
“We have a Baby Situation,” Mike reiterated on his Instagram.
With Lauren’s experience in the world of fashion, some fans are wondering if she’ll release a maternity line for her fans who are also expecting.
At this time, there’s no news on whether or not Lauren will launch a maternity collection. Stay tuned to Showbiz Cheat Sheet for the latest from Lauren Sorrentino.
