‘Jersey Shore’: Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Is Reportedly a Person of Interest in Alleged Burglary of Jen Harley’s Home
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Jen Harley reportedly had a very eventful New Year’s Eve night. The two went from allegedly fighting in a club to accusing each other of different crimes to the police within hours of each other. Here is everything you need to know about that night including how Ortiz-Magro is reportedly a person of interest in an alleged burglary of Harley’s home.
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Jen Harley reportedly got into a fight at a Vegas club
The couple reportedly got into a fight at a Vegas club at a New Year’s Eve party. TMZ reports it was because Jen Harley dropped a drink on Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s shoes. He then stormed off. However, People reports that there was another reason behind the altercation.
A source reportedly told People, “she was mad about something she saw on his phone [and] she freaked out.” The source then claimed she “lunged” at Ortiz-Magro when he tried to leave the club. “She was restrained by his friend, but when he was walking out she took an ashtray from the table and threw it at his head, busting his nose and lip.”
Ortiz-Magro then reportedly filed a report against Harley after the altercation. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department didn’t confirm their identities but told People, “A man came to an LVMPD substation to file a Battery Domestic Violence report against his girlfriend. According to the man, the alleged battery occurred on Dec. 31, 2018 at 11:43 p.m.”
Jen Harley’s home was allegedly ransacked after the altercation and she reportedly accused him
Harley’s home was allegedly ransacked later and police arrived at her house at 3:32 a.m. Her flat-screen TV was reportedly smashed along with a vase, pictures, and glass frames. TMZ reports that Harley told police that she believes it was Ortiz-Magro who did it. But he reportedly isn’t a suspect.
Law enforcement reportedly isn’t suspecting Ortiz-Magro but he is a ‘person of interest’
Law enforcement reportedly doesn’t consider the Jersey Shore star to be a suspect. However, TMZ confirmed that he is a “person of interest.” At the time of TMZ’s first report, there were no witnesses of the alleged crime or evidence that Ortiz-Magro committed it. But police reportedly do want to speak to him.
Since that report, there has a been a new one of security footage released showing Ortiz-Magro destroying Harley’s security camera a month before. Law enforcement sources told TMZ that he also threw an object at her window after she refused to let him inside.
Harley has claimed her house was burgled before
A similar situation happened in the finale of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. Harley called Ortiz-Magro to tell him her home was burgled when she and their daughter were sleeping. But the cast didn’t believe her.
“I don’t buy it. Not for one second,” Pauly “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio said. “Jen is up to no good. Because the last time I talked to Ronnie, he had blocked her, and I think she’s just doing this to get Ronnie to talk to her.”
Harley responded on social media with “I love how everyone wants to talk sh*t on me in the clip I just seen on JS the night I got robbed.” She then continued, “I did not call Ron expecting it to be broadcasted on TV, I didn’t even know he talked about it until now. 4 of my neighbors got robbed that night I woke up to a man in my house with my daughter there and my friends 14 year old daughter. I don’t see how this situation has become your entertainment or a reason to call me crazy bc the cast wants to talk sh*t about me!”
