‘Jersey Shore’ Star, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Is Facing 5 Charges After Arrest
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation was arrested after an alleged fight with Jen Harley. There were multiple charges being considered after the incident and some were dropped.

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was arrested
TMZ reported the reality star chased Harley with a knife then dropped it before locking himself and their daughter, Ariana in an Airbnb they were renting on Oct. 4. The police came and they reportedly tased him. She also claimed that he did coke before the incident.
His lawyer, Scott E. Leemon gave a statement after the arrest. “The reporting of the alleged incident relating to Ronnie Magro yesterday is based upon pure speculation and innuendo,” Leemon told Entertainment Tonight. “We are currently conducting our own investigation and will have no further comment until that has been concluded.”
A source told People that the claim he chased Harley with a knife is false. “Ron did not have a knife and Jen doesn’t know where the idea of a knife came from,” a source said. Police would neither confirm or deny this claim.
A Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson gave a statement to People confirming they responded to an altercation. “The victim and suspect were involved in some kind of physical altercation,” said the spokesperson. “Officers did have to use a taser on the suspect in which a minor use of force occurred. There was no further incident.”
Ortiz-Magro was released from jail after his bond was set at $100,000. He was ordered to stay 100 yards away from her through an emergency protective order. This was lifted on Oct. 11 when Harley reportedly didn’t appear in court.
Two important charges were dropped
News hit that two of the biggest charges against the reality star were dropped. This made it seem like he would get less jail time if found guilty.
TMZ reported that the kidnapping charge was dropped. It was later reported that the felony domestic charge was also dropped. The City Attorney’s office confirmed with Entertainment Tonight that he will be facing a misdemeanor domestic violence charge.
He has been charged with 5 charges
The reality star has officially been charged. After there were reports of some of the charges being dropped, we know what he will be facing.
TMZ reports that the charges include one of domestic violence, one count of brandishing a weapon, one count of child endangerment, one count of resisting arrest and one count of criminal threats.
Harley and Ortiz-Magro have reportedly broken up. The Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star posted a message in his Instagram story after the arrest.
“Outgrowing people is natural. Never bring yourself down, find people on your level” according to Us Weekly. Ortiz-Magro then wrote, “Protect your peace from those who are committed to misunderstanding you.”
The father was then seen spending time with Ariana. He posted pictures with at a pumpkin patch on Instagram. He has yet to make a statement about the charges.
