‘Jersey Shore’ Star, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Posts About ‘Outgrowing People’ After Arrest
He hasn’t said a lot about the situation publicly. Now he has posted a message on Instagram that might shed light on how he feels about the situation. Find out what he said and more.
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was arrested for alleged domestic violence
Ortiz-Magro made headlines again for getting arrested. This time he reportedly took their daughter, Ariana and locked himself with her in the Airbnb they were renting, according to TMZ.
Harley reportedly told the police that all of this happened after he did coke, according to TMZ. Ortiz-Magro allegedly hit Harley and chased her with a knife before dropping it to lock himself in with his daughter. Cops reportedly tased him.
TMZ is now reporting that L.A. County District Attorney’s Office won’t charge him for kidnapping. Instead, it’s being considered that he’ll be charged with felony domestic violence, which has the maximum sentence of four years.
He could be charged with misdemeanor domestic violence, which has the maximum sentence of one year in county jail.
They reportedly split up after the arrest
The parents reportedly broke up after he was arrested. This probably isn’t a surprise given Ortiz-Magro was ordered to stay away from Harley.
A source told People that they are no longer together. He was ordered to stay 100 yards away from her through an emergency protective order.
Their daughter is in her mother’s care at her home in Las Vegas. The protective order didn’t stop Ortiz-Magro from seeing Ariana but law enforcement has to be present for a visit. This order was lifted on Oct. 11 after Harley didn’t appear in court.
He posted about outgrowing people
The reality star made an interesting post on his Instagram story. It shows his mindset after the arrest.
He posted the message, “Outgrowing people is natural. Never bring yourself down, find people on your level” according to Us Weekly. Ortiz-Magro then wrote, “Protect your peace from those who are committed to misunderstanding you.”
This isn’t the first time the couple has broken up, or that one of them has been arrested. Harley previously was arrested and charged for domestic battery after an incident that happened while they were celebrating on New Year’s Eve.
A source claimed she “lunged” at him when he tried to leave a club. He filed a police report after the altercation but the charges were later dropped because he reportedly wasn’t cooperating.
Ortiz-Magro eventually went to rehab and stayed for 30 days. He opened up to his co-stars on Jersey Shore about his stay.
He then said, “I just had to do what I had to do for myself, for the baby, because we know the decisions I was making were not the decisions a father should make.”
