Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald recently announced they’re expecting their third child together. The couple currently have two boys, and in a short time, they’ll be adding a new member to the family. But when will Duggar and Seewald welcome their newest bundle of joy?

Duggar and Seewald announced their pregnancy on Instagram in January

Duggar took to Instagram in January 2019 with a cute announcement that the couple is expecting their third child. Duggar posted a family photo that featured her two sons and her husband. She was wearing a yellow dress that, if you looked closely, showed the slightest baby bump underneath. “Happy news from the Seewald family! Baby #3 is on the way!” she captioned the photo. Most of the Duggars leave the number of children they have up to God, so the baby wasn’t specifically planned as far as timing, but the two definitely wanted more than just their two sons. And they seem incredibly happy to be expecting.

The couple currently has two boys

Duggar and Seewald are currently raising two young boys. Their oldest son, Spurgeon Elliot, is three. The couple also has Henry Wilberforce, who recently celebrated his second birthday. The two boys are definitely a handful, but their family is adorable — and the couple was ready for another baby. Duggar and Seewald were married in November 2014, and they got pregnant only a few months later. They welcomed Spurgeon in November 2015, almost exactly one year after they wed. The couple have never said their ideal number of kids, but we can assume they both want big families because they both come from big families. By the end of the year, they will have had three kids in four years, so it’s possible they will have a few more.  

The Seewald baby is due in June

The couple announced Duggar’s pregnancy in January, and most people wait at least three months before sharing the baby news. This meant the baby was most likely due in June, but it was up to the public to assume that. However, Seewald’s mother recently spilled the tea about the specific month — and it looks like the newest Seewald baby will definitely arrive in June. Duggar and Seewald had said it would be a late spring baby, so they’re probably expecting toward the beginning of the month.

Most of Duggar’s family thinks she’ll have a girl

TLC sat down with members of Duggar’s family and asked them whether they thought Duggar and Seewald were expecting a boy or a girl. While some said a boy, most family members agreed they believe it will be a girl. Right now, Jinger Duggar is the only Duggar daughter to have had a baby girl. (She had her daughter, Felicity Nicole, in July 2018.) It seems like the family thinks it’s time for another Duggar daughter to welcome a daughter of her own. Plus, the likelihood that Duggar and Seewald will have a boy is pretty low, since they already have two. The couple does know the gender of their baby, but they’re keeping it from their family until the birth.
