Jessica Mulroney Just Posted and Deleted an Instagram Post About Meghan Markle

After a two-month hiatus from social media, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex‘s best friend, Jessica Mulroney, has returned to Instagram posting all about the royal. In case you missed it, Mulroney took a step back from public life after she bullied and threatened Black Canadian influencer, Sasha Exeter, presumably for no reason.

In June 2020 amid the George Floyd murder protests and speaking for the Black Lives Matter Movement, Exeter called out her white followers and influential people for their silence. Exeter, a single mother and brand manager was disheartened and frankly appalled by the lack of engagement. Though she didn’t name anyone in her post, Mulroney was apparently so offended by the call-to-action that she began threatening Exeter.

The heiress and socialite accused Exeter of shaming her threatened to sue for liable and told Exeter that she was talking to companies about how she was being treated unfairly. After enduring this harassment, Exeter came forward exposing Mulroney for her problematic behavior. Now, Mulroney has returned to social media focusing on the Duchess of Sussex.

Fans have speculated that Meghan Markle and Jessica Mulroney are no longer friends

After she was exposed for her attempts to silence Exeter, Mulroney was fired from her guest appearances on Good Morning America, and her TV series was canceled. Her husband, Ben Mulroney, the son of a former Canadian prime minister also stepped back from his role as a morning show host.

Mulroney has since apologized to Exeter, made her Instagram account private, and hinted at a talk she had with Meghan about how to do better. However, fans are speculating that the duchess is putting distance between herself and Mulroney.

“Meghan is absolutely mortified that she’s been dragged into this complete mess,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. “She said Jessica is in no way a racist, but the way she handled the situation (with the fashion influencer) was tone-deaf and heartbreaking.”

Meghan Markle’s friends have always been suspicious of Jessica Mulroney

Meghan was introduced to Mulroney when she first moved to Toronto to film Suits. The women became fast friends, even vacationing together and attending the same events.

It’s been rumored that Mulroney was the Sussexes’ unofficial wedding planner and that she styled Meghan’s stunning final royal engagement wardrobe. However, the duchess’ circle of friends has been reportedly increasingly suspicious of Mulroney.

“[Meghan’s friends have been] concerned for some time that Jessica has been profiting from her relationship with Meghan and using it to further her brand,” an insider told Entertainment Tonight.

Jessica Mulroney’s first Instagram post after her hiatus was about Meghan Markle

After leaving social media and apologizing to Exeter, Mulroney returned only to wish her twin sons a happy birthday saying, they’d seen their mother in “the worst state” over the past several months. However, it appears that her first official return back, Mulroney wanted to make a statement about the status of her friendship with the duchess.

She shared a throwback photo of her twin sons holding Meghan’s veil at her May 2018 wedding captioning it, “I see this and pure joy.”

Almost as quickly as the post went up, Mulroney snatched it down making her account private. We’re not sure what this means but we hope Mulroney is growing, learning, and moving forward.
