Jill Duggar Just Shared a Ton of Information Regarding Domestic Violence on Her Instagram Story
Fans have been following the Duggars since their early days on 19 Kids and Counting, and the family’s as interesting as ever. Now, Jinger Duggar’s in California, Jessa Duggar just had her third child, and Jana Duggar remains single — but it’s Jill Duggar who many seem to be most interested in. Jill was once featured on TLC’s Counting On, but thanks to her husband, Derick Dillard, and his controversial Twitter activity, the two were removed from the show and now share their lives on social media.
Jill’s no stranger to oversharing her life on both Instagram and her Dillard family blog. But it seems her latest Instagram Story is raising eyebrows, as it centers around domestic violence. Here’s what she posted.
Jill Duggar just posted all about domestic violence on her Instagram story
From family recipes to intimate moments between her and Derick Dillard, fans are never too surprised by what Jill Duggar’s posting to the internet. But her latest Instagram Story doesn’t necessarily fall in line with what she’s normally posting. “A friend of mine recently shared on social media her story as a victim of abuse …,” Jill wrote on her Story. And it continued with, “… thankfully she made it out of the harmful relationship alive!”
This is then followed by a series of statistics regarding abuse and domestic violence, particularly “physical violence by an intimate partner.” And she also adds a checklist titled “Is your partner a sociopath?” that includes questions to ask yourself regarding your intimate relationship. Jill also added a relevant Bible quote and noted that those who are aware of abusive situations should do their best to help in any way that they can. And at the end of her Instagram Story, she added a slide just to note that leaving an abusive partner is the “most dangerous” time for those in a domestic violence situation.
Some believe it’s a cry for help regarding her own marriage
Jill made it clear that her Instagram Story containing domestic violence statistics was inspired by her friend. But it seems some believe it could mean something more. In Touch Weekly reminds us Jill and Derick Dillard met back in 2011 and started courting thanks to Jim Bob Duggar bringing them together in 2013. And just a few months after their courtship began, Dillard asked for Jill’s hand in marriage. They’ve since had two children and a seemingly happy life, but many have wondered if there’s more going on behind the scenes than we know.
A Reddit user started a thread with the title, “Jill shared about her friend getting out of an abusive relationship on Instagram… is this a cry for help??” Another commented, “I was just coming here to post the same thing. I don’t know if it’s a cry for help or her attempt at a PSA. Or meant for someone she knows who needs help. But it’s an odd posting for Jill.”
Others think she’s trying to send a message to Josh Duggar’s wife, Anna
Jill and her husband are often under a microscope, but others have theories that Jill’s Instagram Story was meant for another member of the family. Josh Duggar is certainly the most controversial of the bunch, as his abuse scandal rocked the reality TV world and has affected the Duggars since. Additionally, Josh has also admitted to participating in the affair website Ashley Madison and cheating on his wife, Anna, who’s now pregnant with their sixth child.
“The entire time I was reading it all I could think was: IS THE FRIEND ANNA?” a Reddit user commented in the thread. Another added, “Maybe she is sending someone she knows a message,” and to that someone replied, “Anna?”
We’re not sure who Jill was referring to in her post or if the identity will ever be revealed. But we’re hoping all is well in the Duggar world and Jill is just sharing helpful info for her followers!
