Jill Duggar’s Followers Think Her Latest Outfit Is ‘Unflattering’ and ‘A Mess’
The Duggars have all grown up right before our eyes, and it’s hard to believe how far Jill Duggar has come. Fans used to watch Duggar interact with her family members on TLC’s Counting On, but times have certainly changed. Thanks to her controversial husband, Derick Dillard, and his slew of homophobic and transphobic tweets, these two are no longer featured on the show. Despite their lack of affiliation with the network, fans are still curious as to what they’re up to — and Duggar has a solid Instagram presence that gives insight into her home life.
Along with family recipes, photos of her husband and kids, and her new home, Duggar’s also known for showing off photos of her clothing. Unfortunately, fans think she seriously missed the mark with her latest choice.
Jill Duggar frequently posts sponsored content to her Instagram
Since Jill Duggar is no longer featured on Counting On, fans have grown suspicious as to how she’s making money. Derick Dillard seems to have a job now, but he was in law school for years — and we know the Duggar women don’t typically work outside the home. It appears Duggar may have been supplementing her income with sponsored content, as her Instagram is full of partnered posts.
Duggar has posted many photos of her wearing Citrus & Lemon’s items — and she’s even hosted giveaways with the boutique. Not only that, but Duggar also supports her cousin Amy’s shop, 3130 Clothing. From long dresses to pant styles that she probably never would’ve worn when living under Jim Bob and Michelle’s roof, Duggar frequently shows off the latest looks from these two shops — but her followers often tell her she’s not getting any style points for her choices. The other sisters also have taken to showing off sponsored content on their Instagrams, too, but this Duggar seems to post the most.
Fans can’t stand her latest outfit
It looks like Duggar is at it again with the sponsored content. She most recently posted a photo set of herself wearing clothing from Juniper Anne Boutique to advertise their 30% off sale, and she also added more information about it in her Instagram Story. Her latest outfits feature oversized green pants with a billowy white shirt as well as jeans with a striped top. And it seems the green pants are really giving Duggar’s followers grief.
“If you’re trying to sell things, I’d suggest you iron the clothes first. And I mean that in the nicest way possible. Also, the pants are not flattering on you,” one of her followers commented. Another added, “How is this post supposed to entice anyone to buy these items? The green trousers are dreadful, creased, baggy at the knees, discoloured, shapeless and unflattering. The top she wears with them doesn’t go, too baggy, the whole outfit is a mess.” Yet another wrote, “Girl Noooo! You’re so beautiful, and the pants in the first pic are not flattering at all!”
This is far from the first time her clothing has been critiqued
Paid sponsorships or not, it seems Duggar’s followers just aren’t a fan of the clothing she chooses. When she posted a photo of her wearing a dress to support her cousin’s boutique, fans flocked to the ‘gram to tell Duggar how they really feel. “You really need some help with your clothes, too bad Jinger is in CA! Take take this dress needs to go to GoodWill/Salvation Army/Trash ASAP!” a fan said about this oversized dress. And clothing aside, many others would love to see Duggar get a complete makeover in general, which includes cutting even more of her long locks.
Despite the constant critique, it doesn’t look like Duggar will stop the flow of sponsored posts any time soon. And it looks like her followers will have to deal with many more of her looks, too.
