Jill Duggar’s Son Seems Like He Doesn’t Want to Be On Camera in Her Recent Instagram Story

Now that so many of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s children are growing well into adulthood and starting families of their own, there are a ton of Duggars to watch via social media. And one of the most talked-about Duggar daughters is Jill. Jill and her husband, Derick Dillard, were removed from TLC’s Counting On due to Derick’s homophobic and transphobic tweets. But even though they fell out of the reality TV spotlight, they’re still thriving on Instagram, as that’s where Jill posts all of her family events, recipes, and relationship advice.

Recently, Jill posted a video of her two sons to Instagram. And after asking her older son, Israel, a question, he seemed totally disinterested in the camera. Here’s what happened.

Jill Duggar posts a lot about her sons to Instagram

While most of the Duggars don’t get their own social media accounts until they’re married, they certainly make up for lost time. And Jill seems to be one of the most active Instagram users in the whole family, as she typically adds a new post every day and also updates her Dillard Family blog regularly. And while we may not see her two sons, Israel, 4, and Samuel, 2, on any TLC programming anymore, we still get regular updates about them on Instagram.

Recently, it seems Jill’s been posting a lot of Israel and Samuel, too. She added this photo of the two of them having dinner outside as the summer ends, and a few days prior, she posted this photo of Israel giving her a flower. Jill will also often record videos of her kids around the home or while she’s helping them with their schoolwork, too. While many of her fans appreciate her giving them an in-depth look into her home life, others aren’t so sure she should be posting so much about her little ones, however.

With Jill’s kids being so young and being recorded so often, her followers may assume the children don’t mind. But now that Israel is getting older and likely realizes he’s on camera, it appears he may already be developing a few opinions about it.

On Jill’s Instagram Story, she recently posted about making pumpkin oatmeal cookies to bring to Derick’s school while he’s in class — and her two kids were along for the ride. After she delivered the cookies, Jill took a photo asking Israel what they did today — and to that, Israel said, “Nothing.”

“We didn’t do anything?” Jill inquired further. To that, Israel responded again with an adamant, “No.” Jill eventually got Israel to say that they took cookies to Derick, but the child was looking away from the camera the entire time and appeared to not want to answer the questions. “Haha Israel was distracted … but he loved getting to see Derick,” Jill captioned the Instagram Story.

Fans have called her parenting into question before

Perhaps Israel really was just distracted while the video was taken, but we can’t deny that Jill’s parenting has had her followers scratching their heads before. Even on her recent photo of her sons eating dinner, many thought Israel was too old to be wearing a bib. And many were also concerned that Jill and Derick chose to “blanket train” their kids when they were little. Not only that, but Derick caused even more uproar when he joked that he was “training” his youngest on a photo of Samuel mopping the floor.

No matter how many critiques Jill and Derick receive, they’re still happily and frequently posting their lives to Instagram. And we’re sure that we’ll continue to see Samuel and Israel on their social media in the future, too.
