‘Counting On’: Jinger Duggar Has Made Some Famous Friends Since Moving to Los Angeles

Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo surprised everyone when they announced their big move from Laredo, Texas to Los Angeles, California. Los Angeles is a very liberal city, and the Duggars were raised in an extremely conservative household, so fans were surprised that Duggar and Vuolo would want to move out there. However, they seem to be having the time of their lives in their new home — and they even have some famous friends to show for it.

Duggar and Vuolo moved to California so Vuolo could take graduate classes

When Duggar and Vuolo first wed, they immediately moved to Laredo, Texas, where Vuolo was working as a pastor. Since the Duggar women don’t typically work, Duggar followed her husband to where he lived, but it might have been the best thing for her. After spending a little more than two years in Laredo, Duggar and Vuolo announced they were making a big move to Los Angeles so Vuolo could enroll in graduate classes. Though they seemed sad to leave all the friends they had made in Laredo, they were also thrilled to be starting a new adventure together.

The two have been living a very different life from Duggar’s other family members

Duggar and Vuolo’s move greatly strayed from the norms of Duggar’s family. For the most part, nobody in her family has ever left their home state of Arkansas, save a few trips elsewhere now and then. But Duggar’s marriage started out with them living elsewhere, so it allowed her to live a life that was more on her own terms. She started wearing pants and tank tops and doing things she never once did with her family. She and Vuolo go to sporting events and do things outside of their church; Duggar even dyed her hair before they moved to California, which was never something any of the Duggar women did.

They recently snapped a photo with country star Gaby Barrett and ‘American Idol’ alum Cade Foehner

Now that the two live in L.A., they seem to be adapting to their new neighborhood with ease. They’ve even made some famous friends. Duggar recently posted a photo to Instagram with ‘American Idol’ alums Cade Foehner and Gabby Barrett. Barrett now has several hit songs on country radio and has made quite a name for herself since the show ended (Foehner and Barrett met on the show and are now engaged). The couple had known Duggar and Vuolo since before they moved to L.A., though it looks like their friendship has become even stronger since they moved out there. In Duggar’s Instagram post, they all went out for ice cream together along with two other friends.

Duggar and Vuolo have redefined the Duggar family reputation

Ever since Duggar and Vuolo wed, they have redefined the norms among the Duggars. They’ve taken on a new life that includes television, sports, and fun beyond their church. The two have also only had one child in the nearly three years they’ve been married, which is very unlike the Duggars, who normally have kids one right after another. Though they are still deeply rooted in their faith, they’ve shown everyone that they can have a close connection to God while still living a normal American life.
