Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner Have Completely Opposite Feelings About Quarantine Life
Back in February, rumors started circulating that Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas were pregnant with their first child. Then, about a month later, the world turned upside down when coronavirus (COVID-19) was declared a pandemic. So Turner spent a good amount of her pregnancy sheltering at home with Jonas.
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are handling quarantine very differently
According to the Game of Thrones actor, staying at home with her husband hasn’t been too shabby, despite the state of things.
“I’m an introvert; I’m a homebody. If I could stay at home all day, I would. So this is great for me. I leave the house once a day anyway to walk my dogs and then that’s it, so. I see how people are finding it difficult, but I don’t understand how people are really struggling to practice social distancing. I’m like all you have to do is stay at home and like get drunk at home, right?” she told Conan O’Brien in late March.
While Turner is an introvert, she admits that her husband misses his social life.
“Everything seems to be working in my favor here because Joe’s a real social butterfly so I struggle to lock him down and have him just spend time with me so it’s like prison for him, but it’s great for me,” she said.
Prior to the baby’s arrival, Jonas had been keeping entertained by DJing on Instagram.
“He’s DJing really, really loudly while I’m trying to read my scripts. He’s DJing at home. Like the other day, yesterday or the day before, he did like an ’80s set for a good part of two hours,” she said of her husband’s quarantine pastime.
When Jonas would DJ, Turner would happily act as his bartender.
“I pour him his drinks. I pour him his alcohol. I give him tequila shots. He’ll like text me and be like, ‘What time is it?’ And then I’ll reply from the kitchen, ‘shot time,’ and bring him a shot of tequila.”
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s baby
According to a source who spoke to Us Weekly, having kids was always the plan for Jonas and Turner.
“Having children and starting a family was part of Joe and Sophie’s plan,” the source said. “They’ve always known they’ve wanted kids.
On July 27, the couple confirmed the news with a statement to People.
“Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are delighted to announce the birth of their baby,” it read.
A source told Entertainment Tonight that Jonas and Turner are over the moon about their baby girl.
“The couple is already obsessed and can’t stop gloating about their new addition. The couple is taking time to enjoy this special moment and have only shared the news and updates with family and friends. With the pandemic, Joe and Sophie have been very cautious about who is around them and their little girl,” they said.
