The singer and Game of Thrones actress are set to have a wedding later this year in France. For legal reasons, they needed to be legally married before they could get their wedding all squared away abroad.

Why Joe Jonas feels Diplo ‘ruined’ his wedding

Jonas, along with his brothers Kevin and Nick, were in London when they sat down for an interview on the show Capital Breakfast With Roman Kemp. During the interview, Jonas talked about his surprise wedding in Las Vegas.

He brought up Diplo, the DJ/producer, who attended the Las Vegas wedding. Diplo documented the wedding on his Instagram stories, live streaming the ceremony.

“He did ruin it,” Jonas joked on the show.

“I love Diplo, but he loves his ‘gram more than a 13-year-old,” he said. “He posts every five seconds. He literally, like, live-streamed with dog face filters.”

How Joe Jonas and Turner felt about Diplo’s behavior at their wedding

Diplo sharing Jonas and Turner’s wedding on Instagram didn’t bother the newlyweds. Jonas recalled he and Turner laughed about his behavior. “We loved it. We thought it was ridiculous,” he said. “I just love that he was walking into the chapel and he’s like, ‘Gonna hit this wedding right quick.'”

When did Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas start dating?

Dating rumors began after Turner and Jonas were seen together in a now-deleted Instagram photo of them attending a Halloween party together. By Jan. 2017, they were Instagram official.

Turner posted a picture of Jonas in Miami. May of that year, Nick Jonas confirmed the two were dating on Instagram. Later that year, Turner and Jonas announced their engagement.

Details on the couple’s wedding in France

Mike Bayer, Turner’s life coach, shared a video on Instagram of what appeared to be Jonas and Turner’s wedding invitation. Bayer’s post has since been deleted but fans saved the video.

The invitation appeared to be a wooden box housing a bottle of wine (they are getting married after all) with “Sophie and Joe 2019 France” written on the top.

On The Late Late Show, Jonas confirmed that he and Turner would be getting married this summer. “We’re going to get married this year,” Jonas told the show’s host, James Corden. “We’re going to have a summer wedding, which I’m looking forward to. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”

Any more than that is unknown about their wedding. We’ll have to wait until the couple announces their wedding — or Diplo gives us the details using Instagram Live — to get more details on their nuptials.
