Jordyn Woods Confesses Her Toughest Breakup Wasn’t With Kylie Jenner
Jordyn Woods might have had a rocky start to her year personally, but the 21-year-old has been having a phenomenal year career-wise. Despite her very public fallout with the Kardashians and former BFF, Kylie Jenner, the model’s future has never looked brighter. As Woods accrues more success and fame, she’s opening up more to the media about her life and how she copes with intense scrutiny. Woods recently shared some of her thoughts about her friendship with the youngest Jenner.
Once thought of as another little sister by the KarJenner clan, Woods was a long-time friend of the Kylie Cosmetics owner pre-Tristan Thompson scandal. The two lived together in Jenner’s mansion and were often seen traveling together and sporting matching outfits. Following the scandal, the two seemed appeared to cut off all communication. Jenner even unfollowed Woods on Instagram a few weeks ago.
Jordyn Woods and Kylie Jenner’s public fallout
But just how does Woods feel about her estrangement from Jenner? And does she consider what occurred between them a friendship breakup? “What’s the definition of a breakup?” Woods questions before googling the definition on her phone. “’The separation or breaking up of something into several pieces or sections. The end of a relationship.’ Those are the two things. What I’d ask is, ‘Does anything really end? Or is it a cycle?,’” Woods posed when she was asked whether she and Jenner experienced a breakup during a Teen Vogue interview.
Woods’ toughest breakup to date
Speaking of breakups, Woods confessed that what she experienced with Jenner was far from the hardest one she’d ever experienced. “The toughest breakup I had to go through was losing my father. Everything doesn’t feel as intense as that. Losing my dad prepared me for everything that happens in life, and… life has thrown some really crazy things at me. That’s part of the process,” the 21-year-old said profoundly.
Hopeful for a reconciliation
Woods’ philosophy on breakups definitely seems to be in line with her current feelings for Jenner. Despite everything that the pair have been through the past six months, Woods is still hopeful for reconciliation in the future. “I love her. That’s my homie. I hope everything falls into place and that we can all grow and build our relationships with our family and God and come back together one day and be stronger and happier,” the SECNDNTURE owner confessed in a recent interview with Cosmopolitan UK.
Why the friend breakup needed to happen
But is Jenner open to rekindling her friendship with Woods? No word on that just yet, but she definitely feels like the breakup was needed. “I think that this whole Jordyn situation needed to happen for a reason. For me, for her, for you, for everybody. She was my security blanket. She lived with me. We did everything together, I just felt like, ‘Oh, I have Jordyn. I don’t need anything else.’ And I feel like there’s a part of me that needed to grow without her. Sometimes people are there for certain reasons at certain times in your life and then not there for others,” the billionaire confessed to her sister, Khloe Kardashian, on a promo for KUWTK.
Friendship breakups can be extraordinarily difficult and unfortunately, there’s no rulebook on how to navigate them. However, it’s great to see that these two women are thriving despite their very public falling out. Only time will tell if they’ll be close again, but at least their both booked and busy.
