The Duggar baby boom is still going strong and shows no signs of stopping soon!

Josiah Duggar and his wife Lauren Swanson just added their names to the growing list of Duggar family members expecting babies this year. Counting On fans have been eagerly awaiting the next announcement now that Anna Duggar, Jessa Duggar, Joy Duggar, and Kendra Caldwell all shared their exciting news over the past few months.

Speculation on who would be next on the list has been swirling, especially now that so many other family members are getting pregnant. For the Duggars, pregnancy appears to be contagious.

But everyone is just so happy the next announcement is coming from Josiah Duggar and Lauren Swanson. The couple recently experienced a heartbreaking loss, and fans were eagerly waiting for them to get pregnant again.

The stigma surrounding miscarriage is gradually being reduced as celebrities and regular people start feeling more comfortable sharing their experiences. In the case of Josiah and Lauren Duggar, they used their fame as a platform for shedding light on this very common experience.

“Nobody really talks about it,” Lauren said in a statement. Rather than making people feel isolated, she wanted women who have experienced miscarriages to know she understood their pain. “We just wanted to let y’all know that you’re not alone,” she said.

“God’s faithfulness to us in our most difficult moments has sustained us and brought us such love and comfort,” the Counting On star explained to Us Weekly. “We cannot begin to tell you how much we are looking forward to holding this baby in our arms this fall. Every good and perfect gift is from above and we are looking forward to this new season of parenting together!”

And in the Instagram announcement, the parents-to-be honor their child by including a lone balloon floating in the background. As the caption explains, “We are so excited to announce that baby #2 is on the the way!!!! It’s hard to fully express just how grateful we are for God blessing us again with another precious gift! So, as we rejoice of the life of our second sweet baby, we also remember (balloon as symbolism) our other sweet baby, Asa, in heaven. God is so incredibly good!”

They will never forget their first baby

Even though their first pregnancy ended in miscarriage, Josiah and Lauren Duggar won’t ever forget their first child, who they named Asa. Josiah even honored his wife on Mother’s Day 2019, insisting that even though she didn’t have a baby in her arms yet, that didn’t make her any less of a mother.

He wrote: “To my dear Lauren… Happy 1st Mother’s Day,” he wrote on May 12. “I have seen you love, protect, and how much you have given without getting anything in return. I wish our sweet baby could’ve seen just how wonderful a mother you are. Not all mothers arms get to hold their little one, or get to hear their baby’s laughs and cries. You may have missed out on these things since our baby was called home to be with Jesus, but you ARE a mother. I love you Lauren! … #mamatoanangelbaby.”
