K-pop Group KARD Will Hold a Tour in the US

KARD is a K-pop group that debuted in 2017 with DSP Media. The group is a rarity in K-pop in that it is a co-ed group. KARD has four members, J.Seph, BM, Somin, and Jiwoo. Starting Oct.18, KARD will tour in the U.S. with five show dates.

KARD is one of the most successful co-ed K-pop groups

While co-ed K-pop acts are rare, KARD is one of the most successful co-ed groups in existence. KARD is made up of two male rappers, J.Seph and BM, and two female vocalists, Somin and Jiwoo. The group’s fandom name is Hidden KARD, which derives from the group’s name. KARD stands for King, Ace, JokeR, and HiDden Kard.

They incorporate dancehall-style music into their songs and have a large international following. Each individual member has over 1 million followers on their Instagram accounts, and KARD has over 2 million subscribers on YouTube. Their videos have over 352 million views. Their debut album, Hola Hola, peaked at No. 3 on Billboard’s World Albums chart.

The group has success on the Billboard and US K-pop iTunes charts

KARD has had great success on the Billboard charts and U.S. K-pop iTunes charts. Their singles “Don’t Recall” and “Rumor” both hit No.1 and “Oh NaNa” reached No.2 on the U.S. K-pop iTunes chart. In addition to peaking at the No.3 spot on Billboard’s World Albums chart, Hola Hola topped the main iTunes charts in 31 countries.

“Don’t Recall,” “Rumor,” and “Oh NaNa” both appeared on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart. “Don’t Recall” and “Oh NaNa” hit No.5 and “Rumor” reached No.3. Their 2017 EP, You & Me, peaked at No.4 on the Billboard World Albums chart. KARD’s 2018 EP, Ride on the Wind, placed within the top 10 on Billboard’s World Albums chart.

KARD will tour in the US in 2019

In March 2019, KARD had a comeback with their single, “Bomb Bomb.” The group’s second 2019 single, “Dumb Litty,” released on Sept.22. Following their comeback, the group plans to tour in the U.S. starting on Oct. 18.

This is KARD’s second U.S. tour. Previously, the group toured as part of the “WILD KARD” 2017 THE 1ST TOUR IN AMERICA and “WILD KARD” 2017 THE 1ST TOUR IN AMERICA PT. 2. The new tour is called 2019 WILD KARD TOUR in USA and takes place in five different U.S. cities.

The first concert date is Oct. 18 in Los Angeles at the La Mirada Theatre. The second tour stop is Oct.20 in Philadelphia, Pa. at the Theatre of Living Arts. On Oct.23, KARD appears in Houston at the Cullen Performance Hall. The fourth concert date is Oct. 25 in Chicago at the Patio Theater.

The last concert of the 2019 WILD KARD TOUR in USA is on Oct. 27. KARD will perform at the Buckhead Theatre in Atlanta.
