Kanye West Does Not Approve of 1 of Kim Kardashian’s Parenting Habits

Kim Kardashian is a savvy business woman who has had great success in the cosmetic industry. Her lines of make-up and perfume regularly sell out soon after launch. Being surrounded by all these beauty products it is no wonder that daughter North West would want to experiment with the products.

Kardashian and Kanye West’s daughter may someday become a young makeup mogul but if West has his way it will be years in the future.

He is not a fan of North wearing make-up. It’s not like we haven’t already seen North in makeup. Kardashian often shares with her fans North’s latest outfits showing off her daughter’s fashion sense. We have to admit, the girl has style.

North West is already a fashion icon

North landed her first “solo magazine cover” at the ripe old age of five. North graced the cover of WWD Beauty, Inc, special edition. Next to the cover photo are the words, “Keeping Up With The Future” and “Move over millennials North West leads the way as a new generation comes of age.”

“Comes of age” Isn’t this term used is to describe a time of life when a teenager is crossing over into adulthood? Diverse cultures have different standards and recognized ages to define coming of age, but not one we could find consider coming of age happens at 5 years old. No wonder “papa bear” West is getting steamed about his little girl growing up too fast.

According to the article accompanying the photo spread, “North West posed in colorful outfits, styled by mama, and she wore a neon pink cat-eye.”

Kardashian then boasted to fans on Twitter, “I’m seriously so proud of my Northie! She picked her looks, and eyeliner color, and is so involved, and loves fashion, and beauty so much.”

Kim Kardashian’s Twitter followers have strong opinions on her parenting style

Of course, not everyone agrees that young girls should be wearing makeup and crop tops. Some comments following Kardashian’s post were: “Stop congratulating her for putting makeup on” and another one wrote, “This is the worst thing, a first grader already on makeup. Lord deliver us.”

Maybe that is exactly what West is trying to do; deliver his daughter from what happens when childhood ends too early. His new album, Jesus is King just dropped, and he has been promoting his spiritual life through his Sunday Service.

Is Kim and Kanye’s new-found spirituality behind the no-makeup rule?

Speaking of West’s Sunday service, Kim posted a video of North dancing with a friend at one of his services. Kim said, “Her favorite part of the week is dancing during Sunday service.” North is dancing like no one is watching with her hair pulled up high, black boots, dark lipstick, and sunglasses.

Regarding North wearing makeup, Kardashian said in a Refinery 99 article, “I’d let her wear a red lip at Christmas, or one pop of something. Or, I’d let her wear a black dress and a black lip.”

And Kardashian added that she regularly shares Kylie Cosmetic Lip Kits, with North. This must have been the proverbial “lip-kit straw” that broke the camel’s back?

Did Kim and Kanye get in a fight about the no-makeup rule?

Kardashian admits that she got in trouble by sharing the Kylie Lip Kits and other makeup with little North.

She shared in an E! News interview. “North [wants to wear makeup] but is being blocked heavily because her dad has stopped all makeup for her until she is a teenager.” She added, “It’s a big fight in the household right now, but it is what’s best.”

“I think as a parent, you just learn and figure it out as you go, and we realized we didn’t really want her to wear makeup at a young age, but she sees her mom putting on lipstick and lip gloss.”

Kids grow up so fast. North has plenty of years in her future to “rosy up her cheeks” or “perk up her pout” with a little makeup. Besides, she is a natural beauty; no makeup needed.
