All Of The Shocking Ways The Kardashians and The British Royal Family Are Exactly The Same
While one family is the picture of regality and honor, the other is the face of drama and American popular culture. Yet, the Kardashians and the British Royal Family have way more in common than you can imagine. Though the royal family has been around for generations, the real interest in the Mountbatten-Windsors began when Queen Elizabeth II took the throne in 1952. A very young queen at the time, she tried to balance her marriage, the duties on the crown, and her rebellious sister amid an ever-changing world.
In contrast, we didn’t know much about the KarJenner clan until 2007 when they burst onto the scene with the hit reality series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Since then, we’ve watched the family go through breakups, divorces, marriages, and tons of drama.
With their past scandals and the current spotlight on the royal family since Meghan Markle stepped on the scene — it’s easy to see that the KarJenners and the royals are more alike than we once thought.
The British Royal Family and the Kardashians have a ton of people in common
We know this will probably knock your wig to the side when you think about it, but Meghan Markle and Kim Kardashian share a best friend. Both ladies are incredibly close to tennis icon, Serena Williams. Likewise, Prince Harry and Prince William are pretty tight with Harry Styles, who happens to be Kendall Jenner’s ex.
There’s also a bit of an awkward connection there. Markle worked on her issue of British Vogue with actress and activist Jameela Jameel, who isn’t shy about dragging the Kardashians for pushing diet products to their followers.
The Kardashian and the British Royal children were all born around the same time
Since Kim Kardashian, Meghan Markle, Prince William, and Kate Middleton were all born around the same time, it would make sense that their kiddos are of similar ages. However, it’s stranger than you’d think. Prince George and North West were born in 2013, and Saint West and Princess Charlotte were born in 2015. However, it goes beyond that — Chicago West, Prince Louis, Stormi Webster, and True Thompson were all born in 2018.
It must be something in that California weather. After all — like the KarJenners, the Duchess of Sussex is a Cali girl. She and the Kardashians even went to rival high schools.
The KarJenners and the ladies of the British Royal Family have the same style
Before you get your pants in a twist — we realize that the KarJenners style is typically much sexier than what Duchess Meghan Markle or Duchess Kate Middleton wears. However, the ladies do love the same designers.
Both Markle and Kim Kardashian wore Givenchy for their wedding gowns. (This was the KKW Beauty mogul’s wedding to Kanye West.) Also, they have both been spotted wearing the same Black Halo dress in different colors –ten years apart.
We know that Kylie Jenner is obsessed with her big sister, Kim, and often emulates her style, so it makes sense that she and Markle wore the same Maggie Marilyn dress within three months of each other. There was also that odd time when Kim Kardashian designed shoes for Kate Middleton. We highly doubt the duchess wore them.
Still, no matter what you might think of the royals or the KarJenners the similarities are pretty insane.
