Here’s Why The Kardashians Need To Thank Jordyn Woods
Tonight is the night that Kardashian and Jenner fans everywhere have been waiting for. On the season finale of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the KarJenner clan finally discuss the scandal between Jordyn Woods and Tristan Thompson. Of course, at this point, nearly everyone with an Internet connection has heard about the alleged affair, but thus far fans have only been privy to the aftermath of the incident. This will all change tonight as the show gives fans a firsthand account of the KarJenners’ reactions to the scandal. But whether you’re team Jordyn or team Khloe, you have to admit that the KarJenner’s need to thank Woods for this very important reason.
Just ahead of the Woods/Thompson scandal, the KarJenner’s seemed to be struggling to come up with good content for the upcoming season of their reality show. As the show was going into its 16th season, topics had gotten stale and their numbers were reflecting that. What the Woods scandal did was get people interested in the KarJenner’s content again.
Suddenly the Internet’s focus was back on not just on the reality show, but on the KarJenner clan themselves. The scandal effectively boosted their TV ratings, as viewers tuned in each week to see when and if the scandal would be addressed. The reality TV family also managed to mine a whole season finale over a little kiss, and they have Woods to thank for the content, money, and increased views.
The Woods/Thompson scandal
Sadly, 21-year-old Woods will not be profiting directly from Keeping Up With The Kardashians, but the alleged scandal has managed to produce other profitable opportunities for the model. Ahead of tonight’s finale, Woods’ social media has grown significantly. On Instagram alone, she boasts over 10 million followers, and we can expect to see a spike in her following after tonight’s episode.
Furthermore, Woods has a number of new and future projects in the works. She recently launched her activewear line, SECNDNTURE, and is trying her hand at acting. The model was recently cast in an episode of the hit Freeform show, Grown-ish, and she hopes that its the first of many acting projects
For her part, Woods seems to be past all of the drama no matter how long the KarJenner’s try to keep it going. Following the release of the trailer for the upcoming season finale, Woods spoke with Entertainment Tonight about how she was feeling about the impending episode. “Everyone has their truth and their story, so you just go with it. Everyone has the right to speak their truth” Woods said graciously.
When asked how she thought she’d be depicted, she responded, “Hopefully, like myself, and the real me will shine.” Of course, we hope that Woods is depicted fairly and authentically, but we have no faith in the KarJenner’s ability to do that. They enjoy playing the victim far too much.
When probed with how she manages to cope with the never-ending drama, Woods had this to say. “Life moves on. Money doesn’t stop. The world doesn’t stop. And hopefully, everyone is just, you know, going forward.” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. Hopefully, after tonight we can all be done with the petty situation once and for all and move on.
