Keeping Up with the Kardashians recently kicked off its 17th season and is already promising to be filled with sister drama. In just a few episodes, there has already been a health scare and, of course, a heated argument between the sisters. Recently a clip emerged of Kim Kardashian referring to Kourtney Kardashian as “a fu*kin fake humanitarian h*,” which rivaled her formal insult when she called Kourtney Kardashian “the least interesting to look at” in the family.
But drama is never a bad thing when it comes to Keeping Up with the Kardashians. It is the lifeblood that the show is built upon. Just look at the Jordyn Woods drama from last season, which reignited interest for the show and carried the entire season 16 finale. So despite the drama, or perhaps because of it, Keeping Up with the Kardashians is still going strong nearly 12 years later. So why has one of the KarJenner sisters considered quitting the show?
Kourtney Kardashian has considered quitting KUWTK
Kourtney Kardashian recently went on the talk show The Real to give an exclusive interview. Whilst there, she was asked about an ever-present rumor going around that she might be leaving Keeping Up with the Kardashians. “So, I mean, every day is different,” Kardashian responded coyly, in a way that seemed to neither confirm nor deny these rumors.
Shocked, one of the hosts of the show continued to press Kardashian for a more concrete response. “Oh, so you actually considered it,” the host questioned. The reality star then went on to clarify that she certainly has considered quitting Keeping Up with the Kardashians in the past, but is currently at a good place with the show. “Yeah! But at the current moment, I’m happy and very into my blessings and feeling very good. But, I definitely have my moments where, ’cause I mean, life is short,” the Poosh owner declared.
Despite the success of the show, we can understand Kardashian wanting to break away from it every now and again. After all, she is the oldest of the KarJenner clan and does have three children that she wants to ensure she makes time for. In fact, she constantly considers her kids when she thinks about her fame or helping to build the ever-expanding KarJenner empire.
The pressure of Kylie Jenner’s billionaire status
In the interview, Kardashian also admitted that she sometimes feels pressure to keep up (no pun intended) with her youngest sister, Kylie Jenner, now that the 22-year-old has reached billionaire status. “I mean, probably subconsciously it makes us feel like, you know, when’s it enough? I think that’s a thing I always think to myself, ‘When is it enough?’ Because I don’t like missing out on certain things like doing my kids’ homework or certain after school activities,” the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star confessed.
Kardashian wants what’s best for her kids
Because Kardashian herself sometimes feels pressure to do more within her famous family, she’s making it a point not to push her children into the entertainment industry. She admits that she’ll be supportive of them if they naturally decide to go that route, but she has no plans to convince them to continue building the KarJenner brand.
“If they want to do it. I think it’s whatever their dreams are. I definitely would never push them to do it and it’s not something that I’m hoping that they’re going to do,” the eldest KarJenner said passionately. It seems that despite all her wealth and celebrity status, Kardashian sometimes shares the same sentiments as any other mom who just wants the best for her kids.
