Kate Middleton Has Become One Of The Most Powerful Royals Following Rumors Of Prince William’s Affair

Kate Middleton has faced a number of different scandals this past year, yet the Duchess of Cambridge remains a popular member of the royal family. Middleton’s high approval rating comes from years of hard work and dedication to her duty, though body language experts have noticed a slight change in her appearance of late. Here is a look at how Middleton has become one of the most powerful royals.

Kate Middleton more confident than ever

Ever since she married Prince William in 2011, Middleton has always held up well to public scrutiny. But her popularity was threatened earlier this year when rumors of an affair rocked her marriage. Despite the cheating scandal, body language experts believe that Middleton is more confident now than in years past, which alludes to a major shift in her life.

“There has been a change in her [Kate’s] body language rituals recently, suggesting changes in her life or attitude,” Judi James, an expert in body language, shared. “She seems more confident projecting herself as a ‘stand-alone’ royal…”

The Duchess of Cambridge, Patron of Action on Addiction, attended the first annual gala dinner in recognition of Addiction Awareness Week. Before the dinner, The Duchess of Cambridge met former Action on Addiction clients Jay Otty and Melanie Bennett, who worked to prepare food for the gala dinner. Jay is a key member of the ‘front of house’ staff at @Brink_Liverpool – Action on Addiction’s ‘dry bar’ in the city. He has worked in the hospitality industry for seven years, having now been clean and sober for nine years. Melanie says that Action on Addiction’s Self-Help Addiction Recovery Programme, which taught her coping mechanisms and new behaviours, and started the grieving process for her father which she had been blocking for ten years, helped saved her life. Speaking at the dinner, The Duchess said: "What’s remarkable about Action on Addiction is that it goes beyond helping those who are suffering on the courageous journey into recovery – it also lends direct support to the children and families affected by addiction – for as long as it takes." Action on Addiction is the only UK addictions charity that works across all the areas of research, treatment, family support and professional education. The aim of Addiction Awareness Week is to provide a platform for focused conversations about the many different facets of addiction, to enable a wide range of organisations to engage with people and families who may be affected by addiction, and to raise public awareness of the far-reaching and negative effects of addiction. The ultimate aim is that as honest but inspirational stories are shared, those affected by addiction will then feel more able to take the necessary steps to access help, hope and freedom from their addiction. @ActionOnAddiction #AddictionAwarenessWeek

According to Express, Middleton has learned a thing or two from Queen Elizabeth and is starting to use her “congruent-looking smile” during royal engagements. This enables Middleton to appear more genuine in public, which results in a higher sense of confidence.

The body language experts pointed out that Middleton’s newfound confidence coincided with the birth of her third child, Prince Louis. Following the birth of Louis, Middleton has appeared more relaxed in public and seems genuinely happy with life.

Prince William and Kate Middleton enjoy themselves at Trooping the Colour

Last weekend, Middleton and William appeared with all three of their children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – at the Trooping the Colour parade. The family smiled big for onlookers and seemed happier than they have been in a long time. Even Charlotte and George got in on the fun and waved to parade goers, which indicates that the couple is already training them for royal life.

The appearance comes amid rumors that William cheated on Middleton with a family friend. William allegedly had an affair with Rose Hanbury, who has been dubbed Middleton’s “rural rival.” Hanbury and Middleton were good friends until they experienced a falling out earlier this year.

Royal experts believe their friendship ended because of the affair, though sources claim the rumors could not be further from the truth. The royal family has not commented on the cheating scandal, though William and Middleton’s recent appearance indicates that all is well.

Kate Middleton takes a page out of Princess Diana’s book

Along with her greater sense of confidence, Middleton drew comparisons to the late Princess Diana after giving a rousing speech at a gala in London. Middleton spoke for a charity that supports families who have fought alcohol and drug addictions. Onlookers immediately compared Middleton’s involvement in the charity to Diana’s advocacy for HIV and AIDS awareness.

Fans also noted that Middleton’s compassion for individuals who are stigmatized because of an addiction is similar to Diana’s love for humanitarian work. William and his brother, Prince Harry, are also patrons of the same charity.

But Middleton’s recent speech was a big step forward for her and shows that she is ready for an expanded role within the royal family. It also shows that Middleton’s power has grown over the past few years, especially after she was compared to someone as beloved as Diana.

Kate Middleton wows at garden show

Apart from her charity speech, Middleton also took part in a gardening program that encourages children to get outside and plant. Partnering with the Royal Horticultural Society, Middleton appeared on the children’s show, Blue Peter, to announce a competition for the best sculpture garden. A select number of designs will be showcased at the Chelsea Flower Show alter this year.

Middleton’s gardening program is meant to get kids outdoors, even if it is only for 10 to 15 minutes every day. During her appearance on the show, Middleton revealed that she does her best to encourage George, Charlotte, and Louis to get outside as much as possible, even when the weather is not cooperating. At the end of the segment, Kate Middleton was given the Blue Peter green badge award for her outstanding efforts.

Middleton, who gave birth to Louis last year, has not commented on the rumors surrounding her popularity.
