Kate Middleton Isn’t a Picky Eater, But There is 1 Thing She Hates
Duchess Kate Middleton has always had an incredibly slim figure, but it doesn’t mean she’s a stranger to delicious foods. While Kate eats very healthy, she also loves to indulge in sweet treats and takeout items. She doesn’t appear to be a picky eater, though she has admitted to hating one thing in particular.
Kate reportedly sticks to a strict diet
The royals are under constant scrutiny, and that undoubtedly has an effect on their want to live a healthy lifestyle. Kate has always cared about the foods she puts in her body, and when she gave birth to her three children, she reportedly stuck to the Dukan diet to help lose the baby weight. The Dukan diet is known for its very low carbohydrate intake, which is supplemented with a high protein and healthy fats intake. When Kate isn’t trying to lose baby weight, she still sticks to a similar diet, though it is supposedly not as strict as the Dukan diet. She enjoys raw, unprocessed foods, such as watermelon salad, gazpacho, and ceviche. She also incorporates plenty of fruit and vegetables into her diet, such as starting her day with a healthy spinach and blueberry shake.
She occasionally indulges in homemade pizza and takeout
Though the duchess eats well most days, she needs a cheat day every now and then, just like the rest of us. Plus, cooking dinner helps her bond with her family. While attending a royal engagement, Kate told a group of children that she enjoys making pizzas with her two older children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The family loves bonding while adding toppings to the dishes, and they always prepare a large salad together, too. Prince William also said the two love ordering takeout every now and then. They often go with curry or pizza, but the two can’t go pick up the food themselves. They have to have someone else pick up the order for them, since it would be pretty crazy to see the future king and queen walk into a takeout restaurant.
The duchess has admitted she hates almond milk
Kate doesn’t appear to be a picky eater; there are very few foods or beverages she has admitted to disliking. But when Kate once attended lunch at a café, the restaurant reportedly brought almond milk to her table because they had read that she was a fan. However, Kate stopped them, saying they shouldn’t believe everything they hear on the Internet and that she actually doesn’t like almond milk at all. While we don’t blame the restaurant for trying their best to impress the duchess, it must have been totally awkward for Kate to admit she’s not a fan of it.
Though Kate isn’t a picky eater, others in the royal family are — including Queen Elizabeth. The queen reportedly never asks for pasta to be served at royal dinners. She also hates the smell of garlic and doesn’t want it included in any of her meals. Steak is usually acceptable, though if it’s cooked rare, the queen won’t eat it.
