Seeing as there are plenty of royal residences in England and abroad, Catherine and William basically had their pick of places to hunker down with their kids. Instead of remaining in their  Kensington Palace apartment, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge chose to leave London and  head to the English countryside.

They are self-isolating at Anmer Hall, their summer home in Norfolk. Given to the couple as a late wedding present from Queen Elizabeth II, the property provides them with privacy. Plus, there’s plenty of room outside for the kids to run around.

Although the Cambridges haven’t confirmed it, royal fans believe they have a nanny staying with them at Anmer Hall because none of their video calls include surprise appearances by Prince George, Princess Charlotte, or Prince Louis.

Kate Middleton says she leaves to buy groceries

Given their royal status, it’s a little surprising to learn the Duchess of Cambridge has ventured out of the house to buy groceries. Wouldn’t they get their groceries delivered? Apparently not.

As of June 2020, Catherine and William are starting in-person royal engagements again. During a solo visit to the Fakenham Garden Centre, Catherine shared she’s left Anmer Hall to make trips to the grocery store.

“I’ve been food shopping, but I have to say I haven’t been out a huge amount more,” she said, according to Express

Royals, they’re just like us.

Prince Williams says they spend time baking

Passing the time while staying at home is a challenge, even for royals. Many people are picking up new hobbies or sticking to old favorites. Baking has become a global favorite during lockdown. First, everyone baked banana bread then came sourdough bread. And it seems the Cambridge family has taken to spending time in the kitchen too.

During a visit to Smiths The Bakers, the Duke of Cambridge shared how he and the rest of the Cambridge family have been baking with all the free time they’ve been having.

Per Express, the Belfast Telegraph reported William told the shop owner, “Well I’ve done a little bit of baking.”

He continued, saying George, Charlotte, and Louis enjoy it too.

“The children have been attacking the kitchen and it’s just been an explosion of flour and chocolate everywhere,” William said.

They’re not the only ones.

“Catherine’s been doing quite a bit of baking,” William added.

So, all the baking could be the reason for the Duchess of Cambridge’s trips to the grocery store. We’ll have to wait and see if the Cambridge family continues to bake through the summer or if they choose to try out another hobby.
