Kate Middleton Has a New Project With This ‘Great British Baking Show’ Alum

The year might be coming to a close, but Duchess Kate Middleton is busier than ever. In recent years, Middleton has revved her royal schedule to adhere to the demands of her position as one of the most senior royal women. As Queen Elizabeth II steps down in the coming years and Prince Charles takes the throne, the duchess and her husband, Prince William, will only get busier.

This year, many of the duchess’ initiatives have focused on mental health and children. However, her latest endeavor will also focus on one of her passions — cooking. Middleton has gotten candid in the past about her love for cooking. She’s also told fans how much her children enjoy making meals like homemade pizza and cheesy pasta with her.

Now, the duchess’ latest project will showcase her love for food, and she’s bringing along an extra special guest for the ride.

Inside Kate Middleton’s secret meeting with BBC

In early November, royal fans were abuzz when the duchess was seen going into a top-secret meeting with BBC. Though fans immediately assumed that Middleton was working on a TV project — Kensington Palace and BBC refused to confirm anything.

Richard Eden, a royal correspondent at the Daily Mail, revealed, “Kate held private talks with BBC director-general Tony Hall at Broadcasting House in London on Thursday.” When Daily Mail reached out to Hall’s camp to ask for more details — the BBC responded by saying, “It wouldn’t be appropriate to discuss the content of the meeting.”

When U.K.’s Express reached out to Kensington Palace for more details about Middleton’s BBC meeting, the Palace responded by saying that the meeting was related to the duchess’ role as patron of the Royal Foundation.

Kate Middleton will appear on ‘Mary Berry’s Royal Christmas Show’ on BBC

Thankfully we didn’t have to wait too long to learn about Middleton’s secret project. Mirror is reporting that the mom of three will appear on Mary Berry’s Royal Christmas Show for BBC. Berry, of course, is a legendary chef and an iconic alum of The Great British Baking Show. An insider told Mirror,

They are expected to create a feast to reward charity workers who are on duty over Christmas and New Year. What better way to spread some Christmas cheer than to team up cookery royalty Mary Berry with real royalty in the form of Kate? Between them they will bring seasonal goodwill to their guests and to the millions of viewers watching. Expect a properly uplifting Christmas treat.

What a fantastic way to do something you’re passionate about while giving back?

This is when Kate Middleton’s appearance on ‘Mary Berry’s Royal Christmas Show’ will air

Though there is no exact air date yet — we’re going to assume that BBC is going to air the one-off episode of Mary Berry’s Royal Christmas Show with Kate Middleton sometime in December 2019.

It will be wonderful to see the 84-year-old chef on TV again. Also, it will be delightful to get an inside look at the duchess and Berry’s friendship. Apparently, the pair have been close since 2013.
