Kate Middleton Reveals the Surprising Thing Princess Charlotte Handles Better Than Prince William
The public has become so fascinated with Prince William and Kate Middleton’s adorable children that every time they share something about their personalities or what hobbies they like, we’re all ears.
Recently, the Duchess of Cambridge discussed something their daughter, Princess Charlotte, has a better handle on than her father. Here’s more on the surprising thing the young royal is better with than Prince William.
What Middleton says Charlotte handles better than her dad
Prior to their trip to Pakistan later this month, the duke and duchess attended a reception at Aga Khan Centre in London and spoke with 2017 MasterChef winner Saliha Mahmood-Ahmed.
Middleton talked about cooking curry, which she is a big fan of and admitted that it is a little tricky to make because she, William, and the children are different when it comes to how hot and spicy they like it.
“Yours is medium, and I quite like it hot,” she said to William, adding that “Charlotte is pretty good with heat.”
The prince agreed with his wife and said, “Me and heat not so good. I love spice but not heat.”
Princess Charlotte also loves this food
Middleton also said that her daughter can’t get enough of olives.
While speaking at Lavender Primary School in England earlier this year, the Duchess of Cambridge explained that Charlotte loves snacking on them because of their salty, briny flavor.
The mom-of-three said another item that is on the menu in her house quite often is pizza.
“I think they’re some of the best things to make, pizzas at home,” she told youngsters at London’s King Henry’s Walk Garden. “It’s such fun, you can choose what you can put on them — all the different toppings.”
Middleton added that she thinks bacon on pizza is delicious.
“I quite like that,” she said. “Or some other meat. It’s like having pepperoni but it’s not as spicy.”
Charlotte helps her mom cook too
Not only does the princess enjoy eating the food her mom makes, but she also loves helping her cook it.
“Wherever Kate goes, so does Charlotte,” a source previously told Vanity Fair. “And when Kate or the housekeeper are preparing meals in the kitchen, Charlotte will set up shop next to them, ‘her own toy set by her side to imitate.’”
More recently though the duchess has been allowing her children to be hands-on in the kitchen and they have been cooking some of their own foods. One of Princess Charlotte and Prince’s George’s favorite dishes to make is cheesy pasta.
Matthew Kleiner-Mann, chief executive of the Ivy Learning Trust, relayed a conversation he had with Middleton about her kiddos learning to cook.
“She was telling us how much her children love cooking and how they cook for her. They made cheesy pasta the other day. One stirs the flour, one puts the milk and butter in. And they make salads and stuff,” he told reporters.
